This set is a documentation of a very special, single live performance filmed and recorded in Prattein, Switzerland in 2005. It presents an interesting cross-section style look at Saga's career as the band performs their extraordinary, successful album Worlds Apart in its entirety along with newer material. It also features interviews with the band from the 80s as a special bonus. Saga - Worlds Apart Revisited - Limited Edition Video Saga - Worlds Apart Revisited - Limited Edition Movie Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) Worlds Apart - That's Saga Being a fan from the beginning and never missing an album release, I will say this is the best package to date from Saga. The sound is great, the video crisp, and the band is tight. 22 songs performed in the exact measure you would expect from Saga from beginning to end. Saga's show does not rely on a crazy light show or theatrics to impress their fans, this is just an upfront and uncluttered performance letting the music steal the show. Michael Sadler's vocals are spot on, while the others are just as impressive after 30 years. One thing I noticed during the show that was odd (from a performers point of view) was the 15 guys to 1 girl ratio in the crowd...hmmmm "Thinking Mans Band", I guess would be the correct term to describe the crowd of 40 and overs. The other thing noticed was Steve Negus's absence, no disrespect to Brian Doerner, he's an amazing drummer, I just miss Steve Negus's effortless style and double kicks that he would lace throughout Saga's songs. The "Documentary" and "Road Stories" are excellent and really let you tap into who the members are and their different personalities. The road stories are especially amusing, very funny stuff. Overall if your a fan you need to add this to your collection, 4 discs and a booklet at this price is amazing. This is a limited edition so I would buy it now before it becomes discontinued. Saga at their best This package is just unbelieveable! The picture quality and the sound quality is amongst the best that I have ever seen. The addition of the CD's makes this tremendous value. If you are a Saga fan this is a must have, and if you just want to experience some of the magic that is Saga then again it is a must have. Submitted by Crabman (Florida) Was This Review Helpful? saga still rockin after 30 years watching saga live 30 years after their inception in Canada is amazing.. the vocals/ muscianship and songs are incredable. It still hard to believe a band this talented is not widely accepted in North America. Their worlds apart album was great when it first came out 25+ years ago and seeing it performed with the current recording technology is great. For those who like great songs with great vocals and harmonies assisted by great musicans will love this band and this concert dvd. Submitted by craigw (buffalo, ny) Was This Review Helpful? Saga - Worlds Apart Revisited - Limited Edition DVD Almost three decades after the release of their debut album, Saga still is one of the world's leading melodic progressive rock acts. Albums like Silent Knight, Heads or Tales and Worlds Apart now serve as milestones in a history that has yet to lose any of its magic. Now the release of World's Apart Revisited can serve as testimony to this fact. This double CD/DVD is a documentation of a very special, single live performance (which was filmed and recorded in Pratteln, Switzerland in 2005). It presents an interesting "cross-section" style look at Saga's career as the band perform their extraordinary successful album, Worlds Apart, in its entirety, along with newer material. It also features interviews with the band from the 80s as a special bonus.
World's Apart Revisited is available in 3 formats: as a double CD, a double DVD and limited edition version with lavish packaging containing both DVDs and both CDs, as well as a 20-page booklet.

Saga - Worlds Apart Revisited - Limited Edition review
$15.35 The Chapters Live was 28 years in the making. Flash back to 1978: a young Canadian band releases its debut LP, an attempt at bridging the gap between progressive rock and FM radio. Two tracks, "Will It Be You?" and "Tired World," are subtitled Chapters 4 and 6 for no apparent reason. Over the next three LPs, Saga will release a total of eight "chapters," seemingly at random, then drop the project, originally sketched for 16 pieces. In the early 2000s, as the group is getting back on track (literally and figuratively), eight new chapters pop up, spread across three albums. On the Marathon tour in 2003, the group performed the complete "Chapters" sequence, in its right order, a moment fans of Saga had been awaiting for a long time. The sci-fi story revolves around Albert Einstein, revived by aliens so that he can help them save humanity from self-destruction. Some of its constituents are well-known ("No Regrets," "Don't Be Late"); others are more obscure. The surprise factor in The Chapters Live is the actual continuity from beginning to end. This truly sounds like a single album written in a short amount of time -- surely not in 28 years, with dozens of studio albums laid down in the process. The fresher pieces ...
