Summer Place Movie Review Average Rating: (4.2 out of 5 stars)   Poignant teenagers love story....
Based upon the 2nd. bestselling novel by Sloan Wilson, this is a faithfull adaptation of the original Novel to the letter. At the time of its release, in the begining of the 60's, America was still conservative about pre-marital free sex, and in this respect it was considered too bold, especially in having the film with a happy end for the young sinners(!!). In the whole it is still enchanting and very romantic. The Max Steiner theme is still a big hit. Deserves to be called the films the like of which they don't do anymore.

brill watch it all the time
I first watched this film when I was about 14 I am now 59 took me ages to find it on video (pal) eventually found it in australia I love this film it is wonderful a must for everyone especially teenage girls my grandaughter also watches it regularly with me so what more can i say DO YOU THINK I LIKE IT? GREATTTTTT

This is a very good movie--love, romance, conflict and a surprise ending. Scenery is very beautiful and great acting. Hard not to love this and especially the music!
