$13.69 INTRO:The masses desperately call for more than just a hit for today – a cry for music that not only ministers for and with them, but ministers to them – music that represents their soul, struggles, joys and victories. The never-ending battle to be heard rages and out of the smoke and ashes comes a guided spirit. An artist who meshes his heart, pain, joy and love with his music. From sultry jazz influenced melodies to urban licked grooves, this artist stands as the new millennium’s best example that “music isn’t made, it’s born, raised among the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and lives within him.” Come; sit among the notes, drink of the soul and be edified. Ya’ll ain’t ready… Meet and get to know… "Godchild"BIO/VISION:Born and raised in “Naptown” (Indianapolis, In.) Jas (Pronounced “Jace) grew up within a collage of musical influences with that of the church being most prominent. This flavor of artistic diversity molded him to exhibit a vibe and style that currently solely belongs to “Godchild”. Somewhere between the Gospel greats of the Winans, Fred Hammond and Commissioned and the influences of such artists as Stevie Wonder and Sade, “Godchild” was born. He went on to join a group based out of California (Emajè); eventually, he left the group to rededicate his life and follow the vision of his Lord and Savior. He took this time to grow spiritually as an artist, songwriter and producer, while simultaneously performing at various showcases and television venues and sharing the stage with Artist such as Yolanda Adams and Mary Mary. “I thank God for providing me the ability, talent and gift to develop my own material and praise Him in my own unique way… I see myself as more than just an artist, but I will always love performing…” “Godchild” has received airplay from local radio stations, performed live tapings of various local television programs and is frequently requested to minister his unique style at various locations. He most recently won the soloist competition during the Exalting Him talent competition, which was televised on the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) where judges expressed the following: “You have the total package”, “I see all ages listening to you”, “I’m ready to buy a CD right now” (Nicole C. Mullen), “Nobody is doing it like you’re doing it” and “You are amazing”, just to name a few quotes. “I think my music forces the "religious folk” to abandon that Spirit of “Religion” and focus on God as well as the reality of what God is doing and what God has done with them and with my sound. I know I’m different, but hey…. I’m just real with it.” This attitude towards ...
| | Bob Webb From Salthouse Dock CD (2008)
DOS En Uno-Mustafa & Oriental Sheik
$20.19 Part of Bob Webb’s worldwide reputation as “King of the Shanty” is based on this recording, originally released as a cassette tape (only) in 1995. The tracks were laid down in Paradise Street, Liverpool, England in December 1994; the very street celebrated by 19th-Century merchant sailors in the famous work-song (shanty) “Blow the Man Down” -- “Oh, as I was a’walkin’ down Paradise Street, to me way, hey, blow the man down!” The celebrated Liverpool shanty-group "Stormalong John" and “Shanty Jack,” a talented shantyman and professional mariner from Hull, England joined Bob to make this recording. After its release, "From Salthouse Dock" was hailed by Sing Out! magazine as one of the best sea-shanty albums in traditional style, that is, ...
