| NOT THE BEST PICTURE
I want to review the picture quality of We Were Soldiers. Not the best I have seen on Blu-Ray We Were Soldiers BRAY for sale. I have over 80 films now and this is one of the worst I have seen on B-Ray. To me this looks like a DVD upscale job gone badly. I have a Sony 46 inch LCD TV and PS3 at first I thought I had something unplugged but no it’s the quality of the film very poor. If you see the scene where all the soldiers wives are in a room discussing a few problems it looks spotty and fuzzy like a 1970 TV program Some scenes are nice like the night battle and the last 15 minutes of the movie apart from that I wished the made a better job even if it say 1080p on the box. And the LCD says 1080p to. I have watched The untouchables straight after We WERE SOLDIERS and I was Gob smacked what a Fantastic picture they did on that no other problems on my other films Even Dirty Harry Collection is Superior to this But this film is middle-of-the-road to me maybe they will do a newer version latter on. It’s 50 / 50 apart from that I really liked this movie The sound is also loud if you have it connected to a Amp put it on DTS.

Very good movie despite an ending that is historically not at all factual. Similarly, the opening line of the description review is a fabrication. This operation into the Ia Drang valley was a deliberate operation to go out and find the enemy. It should NOT in any way be described as an "ambush"

We Were Soldiers movie This is in my opinion the most powerful and realistic war movie EVER made. I've seen them all and this is by far the best. Its the best because its actually the way the Marine Corps trains in the field. It exemplifies honor, courage, and commitment. It closely follows Colonel Moore's book (which I read). This is not your typical Vietnam movie. Its a story of heroism, and sacrifice. As soon as I left the theater I said it is OSCAR CALIBER, and apparently the media agrees with its reviews. This is a absolute must for Marines and Soldiers alike. It may be too powerful for some Veitnam Vets due to its realism. To all of you, I salute you. Thank you. Urah!
