Being told by a psychic of his imminent death on his next birthday, Jack Whilton's retreats to the safety of extreme agoraphobia in order to avoid his own death. All he has to do is wait out the year in his apartment-turned-bunker, but then meets the girl down the hall, Audrey, who has a similar problem - she is also dying. While their predicament are similar, they are not the same and it is that difference which allows Audrey to coax Jack out of his self-imposed bondage. When a psychic tells Jack Whilton (Sean Maher) that he will die on his next birthday, Jack panics. He immediately changes from a reliable estate planner to a man who won't leave his building and won't remove his protective football helmet. But while entombed in his apartment, he meets Audrey (Jamie Ray Newman), a neighbor who is dying as well. With Audrey's help, Jack learns to live his life again.
This is the only Kathleen Rose Perkins video. Stars also making their debut in this video: Tricia Small, Tamara Tohill. Living Til The End review
$12.99 For his fourth directorial feature in the span of two years, Clint Eastwood tells the story of a grizzled Korean War vet's reluctant friendship with a Hmong teenage boy and his immigrant family. Set in contemporary Detroit, GRAN TORINO tackles the shifting cultural and economic landscape of not only the Motor City, but America as well. Eastwood stars as Walt Kowalski, an unabashed bigot who never heard a racial insult he didn't love. Bitter, haunted, and full of pride, Walt refuses to abandon the neighborhood he's lived in for decades despite its changing demographics as he clings desperately to a mindset long since out of step with the times. When his Hmong neighbor Thao tries to steal his prized muscle car as part of a gang initiation, Walt is forced to grapple with the world around him.
GRAN TORINO's approach to the complicated issue of race relations is equal parts Archie Bunker and CRASH. That is to say, there is nothing subtle about Walt's bigotry, yet his misanthropy knows no bounds, and Eastwood does a remarkable job of finding the humor in Walt's equal opportunity racism. More than simply a racial morality tale, however, GRAN TORINO is about the unlikely bonds that people form to navigate the ...

Living Til The End video
$7.09 Based on a play by David Greig, THE ARCHITECT stirs together issues of class, race, sexuality, and architecture, then heats up to create potent sociological drama. Anthony LaPaglia stars as Leo, a close-minded Chicago architect/college professor whose family is coming apart at the seams: older son Martin (Sebastian Stan) is troubled by his emerging homosexuality, Leo's 15-year old daughter (Hayden Panettiere) has begun acting out sexually in a misguided search for affection, and his high-strung wife (Isabella Rossellini) is headed towards a complete nervous breakdown. If that wasn't enough, African American activist Tonya (Viola Lee Davis) visits his classroom in an attempt to get him to sign a petition to have a housing project he designed torn down. He won't do it, claiming the building is soundly constructed, but Tonya's lived there long enough to know it's crushing the souls of its residents; her son even committed suicide to get away from it. In his refusal to accept responsibility or respond to the pain of others--both within and without his own four walls--Leo's carefully constructed world seems doomed to topple over. First time writer/director Matt Tauber provides lots of cross-cutting between the squalor of life in the projects vs. the cushy but sterile suburban residences in Chicago's other neighborhoods. Performance ...
