| | Colleen Jameson Revolution Now! CD Colleen Jameson Discography of CDs
In 50 words or less…Currently touring the Southern and Mid United States, Colleen Jameson began performing in St. Louis in the late 1990's. Her skillful blend of up-beat rhythm guitar and thought-provoking lyrics drew region-wide attention and made her a coffehouse favorite. Now living in Iowa, Colleen is breaking onto the scene again with a new arsenal of angry protest rants and heart-stopping love songs. What Promoters Have Said…“Being the promoter at Springstreet allows me the great opportunity to meet and work with some great musicians. Colleen is no exception to that. She approached her gig with enthusiasm and professionalism. She is a great self-promoter and a wonderful performer. It was refreshing to hear a young artist with so much passion about the social condition of the world, which is completely lost in pop music today. I would gladly book her at Springstreet for repeat gigs!” Revolution Now! | | Opera Metal Metal Opera CD (2001)
Revolution Now! music CDs
$10.35 An all-star aggregation similar in conception to Ayreon, Avantasia's The Metal Opera naturally spotlights its creator, Tobias Sammet, who wrote all the music and the involved fantasy storyline over the course of a year as a side project from his main gig with the German power metal band Edguy. Though Sammet's vocals play a major role, he recruited some of his power metal contemporaries to sing the parts of different characters in the story, tailoring his casting choices -- elves, dwarves, Druids, and other D&D-type mainstays -- to their vocal ranges. (Oddly, given the themes, there's a bit of a Christian undertone to the lyrics.) It's tempting to say that for a grandiose conceptual project like this, the scope of the ambition is more important (and entertaining) than the actual results. Everything here is painted in such sweeping colors -- the epic song lengths, the heroic themes of the narrative, the bombastic arrangements, even the brief Latin-titled interludes -- that it can be difficult to see how the album ...

| | Ryan T Briggs Let It Roll CD (2006)
Revolution Now! album
$16.69 2007 Texas Music Awards’ “Rising Star of the Year”, Ryan T Briggs has been charming audiences across Texas since college at Texas Tech. His clean acoustic pickin' style, alluring vocals, and fun and masterful lyrical design have kept his loyal fan base locked in, even during a 4 year absence in which he finished school and worked for The Man in Houston. After quitting the corporate gig, spending 2 years on a music degree (South Plains College, Levelland), and building an established band in Lubbock, Briggs moved to Austin and released his debut CD, LeT iT RoLL Summer 2006. Quickly gaining momentum with increased publicity, greater tour coverage, and rising CD sales, Ryan T Briggs & the Redneck Hippies continue touring Texas in 2007 to promote the album. The album, produced by Mark Addison (Honeybrowne, Guy Forsyth, Redd Volkaert, Ian Moore), combines the best of what Briggs has to offer. Briggs’ country and bluegrass influences, combined with Addison's eclectic, rock, and blues backgrounds, resulted in a CD that truly has a unique and genuine sound. With nine original songs (of eleven tracks), it can be described as a country record with a twist of grass and a shot of blues. The song subjects are varied: moving Las Vegas, Nevada to Lubbock via double wide trailer, the contradictions of being a “redneck hippie”, falling off a bridge in Austin and deciding to swim to the Gulf of Mexico, lost love, finding love, difficult neighbors, a drinking ...
