What nas is saying in this CD is not entirely true. Hip Hop has changed, it's all about makin da top dolla, and less focused on the culture where it should be. The lyrics are dope, my favorite tracks are 'hip hop is dead' and 'who killed it'. Check out Red Gone Wild thats like up to date 'real' hip hop. .

the reason why he said hip hop is dead it was because of what hip hop is going through also because the rules of hip hop are set so high and its also because of main stream artist and southern artist feel the need to be relevant with the rules of hip hop so much so that begin to loose the essence of who they are even nas said hes one of reason hip hop is dead because of the rules hes set for hip hop this album is a great peace of hip hop to have so i can't wati to buy it love you all god god bless you all.

Nas makes a bold statement and backs it up with creative and thought provoking tracks. Gotta appreciate his lyrics and originality. A couple of beats missed but the majority were bangers.
