$12.99 A man who was previously abused by his mother takes out his frustrations on innocent women. He scalps them and uses their hair to make wigs for his mannequins. Upon its release in 1980 this film was accused by critics of taking the slasher film and its accompanying gore effects to new, unpleasantly graphic levels. Special effects were orchestrated by Tom Savini.
Frank Zito (Joe Spinell) is a deeply disturbed man, haunted by the traumas of unspeakable childhood abuse. And when these horrific memories begin to scream inside his mind, Frank prowls the seedy streets of New York City to stalk and slaughter innocent young women. Now Frank has begun a relationship with a beautiful photographer (Caroline Munro), yet his vile compulsions remain. These are the atrocities of a human monster. Extras include audio commentary, radio interview with coproducer/director William Lustig and Spinell & Munro, documentary, theatrical trailers, TV spots, radio spots, poster & still gallery, gallery of outrage, and talent bios.
