BIO: Returning in 2006 with their sophomore release, STRANGELAND, Cellar Records recording artist, Court Jester, has musically matured and proved their boasts of being the premier Whiskey Rockers in the U.S. Coming quickly off the heels of Low Downs [Gina; Cellar Records 2003] successful run at commercial radio across the nation, Court Jester is returning to the scene with an all new album and an all new live line-up. Strangeland truly marks the growth of the bands musicianship. Dan Boehne has now taken the reins and stepped up to the mic becoming the new voice of Court Jester, and has brought a new rawness to the band that seems to have rejuvenated the band. Accompanied by founding member, James Azrael on guitars; Producer, Todd Joos on bass guitar and back up vocals; Bob the Birdman Brady on drums; and featuring special guest Dizzy Reed of Guns N Roses on piano and Hammond C2 Organ. Focusing on their hard rock and blues roots with Strangeland, Court Jester really hits home with songs like Hollywood Girl, Aint Comin Back, and They Cant Catch Me. And songs like This Life really let Dans new vocal duties shine and also prove why Dizzy Reed is one of the top keyboardists in rock today. The epic love song, Destinys Dance, brings in a full string section and proves without a doubt that these guys have musically matured and will continue to surprise their fans. And the personal homage and cover of the heart-tearing Motorhead tune, 1916, sums up and closes the album leaving the listener in awe. The excitement doesnt end with the music on the album either. Long time fan and friend of Court Jester, infamous comic book artist Tone Rodriguez (Conan, Simpsons Tree House of Horrors, Violent Messiahs) brought his pen to the table and designed the artwork for the new album cover. In addition, the coloring is done by DC Comics colorist, Wes Dzioba (Hawkman, Superman: Secret Files) Strangeland Music | List Price | $12.97 (You save $3.12) | | Category | Rock/Pop Albums, Rock CDs | | Label | CD Baby | | CD Universe Part number | 7339905 | | Catalog number | 109178 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | Oct 24, 2006 |

Strangeland album
$12.29 BY A THREAD is Gov't Mule's first studio album since HIGH & MIGHTY was issued in 2006. Since that time, bassist Andy Hess has been replaced by Jorgen Carlsson, though Hess appears on two tracks at the end of the album. Carlsson's playing style is much more aggressive than Hess', and is therefore closer - in spirit anyway - to Gov't Mule's original bassist, the late Allen Woody, though he possesses an adventurous sense of time and is harmonically more colorful than either Woody or Hess. Carlsson and drummer Matt Abst are a solid match, since Abst is a drummer used to shifting time signatures and allowing the unexpected in while still driving a band. The band's keyboardist and rhythm guitarist, Danny Louis, is a shape-shifter, playing to whatever is needed in a given track. His manner of coloring sounds inside and around a particular tune's framework is a large ...

Strangeland songs
$10.25 Marie Swan Black BiographyWriting songs about loss, healing, strength and hope, Marie Swan Black's mission is to speak the unspeakable through song, bringing listeners to the depths of feeling and vicarious emotional release. With her supple and strong vocals, she can carry her crowd with her through her stories. Her latest song, "Amphibean," is about destructive use of power in religion and politics, and pulls on personal and fictionalized characters, while delving into the conflict of these powers against the human psyche. See a live video of part of the song below."Her sultry voice, smooth and sweet as honey, is a perfect foil to her bittersweet songs". . . SF Weekly"Raw, powerful, dynamic, silky smooth vocals". . . Texas Beat "She's the real thing"... | | Demetra CD (2007)
Strangeland album
$9.35 Three guys and a girl from Queens with a lot of spunk form the anomaly that is Demetra. Trashy guitars and hard-hitting, danceable beats infused with soulful vocals and pop melodies create a distinctive sound only vaguely reminiscent of artists such as Blondie, No Doubt, and The Clash.Definite products of the new millennium, they are not afraid to experiment with song form. Though their music is heavily drenched in garage rock and new wave roots, they may add a chorus that contains elements of doo-wop, an outro that breaks down into one-drop reggae, or a bridge that busts out into a rhyme. Similar to the ...

Strangeland music CDs
$21.45 "As an inspired song writer Fiona Kernaghan has a unique ability to write timeless songs across many musical genres. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Fiona. I especially enjoy her focus on lyrics and melody. Check Fiona's work out...she rocks!.."ANDREW FARRISS, INXS"To be able to open your heart and speak of something that you may have experienced or observed takes enormous courage. Fiona is a great songwriter and human spirit. I know that anyone who will take the time to listen to her will discover that for themselves."TINA ARENA, Multi Platinum Recording Artist"Fiona is one of Australia's best new singer songwriter's, with more potential than ten Lisa Loebs or Sheryl Crows."BERNARD ZUEL, SYDNEY MORNING HERALDFiona is professional songwriter and a strikingly original artist in her own right. Having earned her stripes as a staff songwriter for the worlds biggest music publisher, she skillfully crafts commercial material for other artists - she has had over 100 songs cut world wide, written ten number 1 hit singles in her homeland of Australia and won numerous awards including APRA (ASCAP) Song Of The Year and Media Song Of The Year. Yet she performs her own material with undeniable originality, baring her soul with the candor of a classic singer songwriter. Her co-writing partners read like a who's who of the international music industry, including writer producer Andrew Farris (INXS), writer producer Kevin Savigar (Rod Stewart) and Aussie icon Ross Wilson (Daddy Cool/John Farnham).Fiona wrote her first hit single when she was 18 years old. "I'll Be Gone", was co-written with her sister, Tania Kernaghan, and snared her sibling a major label record deal. The subsequent record, "December Moon", featured 9 more tracks written by Fiona, spawned numerous Number 1 songs and went on to sell Platinum. ABC/EMI soon asked Fiona to record an album for them, but this time it was to be a collection of her own pop/rock influenced singer songwriter material. Fiona's debut, "Cypress Grove", had music critics swooning. Bernard Zuel of Australia's pre eminent newspaper, The Sydney Morning Herald declared, "Fiona is one of Australia's best new singer songwriters, with more potential than ten Lisa Loebs or Sheryl Crows." The record earned her the respect of her peers, a faithful following and a finalist nomination at the Australian Recording Industry Awards (ARIA) in 1996 for Best New Australian Talent. After sparking a bidding war amongst publishers, Fiona, now only 21, signed a world wide contract with Warner Chappell Music. Fiona recalls, "John Brommel was and still is a pillar of the Australian music industry and his company's confidence in me took my career to the next level. Their financial backing enabled me to write full time and work in Nashville, London, L.A and New York."It was a natural progression for Fiona to move to the United States in 1997. She moved to Nashville, the 'songwriters Mecca'. As fate would have it she shared a house with Keith Urban's band mates and in her words, "learned from the best" in the process. "Keith and his band, The Ranch, had just signed with Capitol Records so I got to see first hand what ...
