| Excellent Movie
All Quiet on the Western Front is one of the best movies of it's time. It does an outstanding job depicting Nazi Germany and World War II.

| Early Masterpiece
All Quiet on the Western Front film I have no trouble rating this film with 5 stars. True, cinematically it is no "Saving Private Ryan" However the message of the stupidity and futility of war is well depicted without resorting to blood and splatter, yet still maintains its realism.

| Truly a masterpiece
The scenes outdo each other. From the naive classroom to the first combat to the enemy in the fox hole to the silly old men talking about the glory of war to the final butterfly, this is a masterpiece.

| great film for time
This movie was one of a kid for its time. The special effects and all the characters were right on key to the book by Erich Maria Remarque.
