5 stars Brilliant!
I just saw this movie tonight actually. When I saw it I thought of the great movies such as Top Gun, Titanic, Armaggedon, and one other movie I can not think of, which is combined all in One. Amazing Movie, to which I am not a type of person that likes much action pact in my movies. During this movie I also found out that an uncle of mine was one of the many great coast gaurds out east. This movie is a tribute to them far beyond anyone can say. Great Movie Directors. Awesome Acting..this is what you call a movie. :)

As a FireFigher/EMT i've seen movie's based on Fire,Police,EMS,Military, but never the Coast Guard. And I guess it's about time right?? Like the movie said about Katrina, I was their, and believe me the Coast Guard was their also. "So Others May Live" I love it! Like I said Its about time. Great movie all around. A must see, in my books. Next time I see a coast guardmen I'll say thanks, and to any member of are armed forces. GOD BLESS

i loved the movie. it made me appreciate the men and women of the coast guards. it was one of the best movies i have ever seen (and i have seen many). i would suggest this movie to everyone and anyone. it is such a good movie you won't want to miss it!

2 stars Guardian fails to protect
This is an unnecessarily long film with fairly bland performances and stilted dialogue. If it weren't for the brilliant picture and sound of blu ray, I would not have sat through it to the end.
