| | Doug Forshey Crazy Gravity CD Doug Forshey Discography of CDs
Doug Forshey hails from Huntington County, Pennsylvania where he grew up listening to a wide variety of music from Roger Miller and Merle Haggard to Pink Floyd and Tom Petty. At age 15, he started his own band and performed a mixture of original and cover songs at clubs and bars all over the state of Pennsylvania. In 1995, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue a songwriting career and signed a publishing deal with Best Built Songs. Doug spent the next few years honing his craft, performing at many songwriting venues in Nashville, including the Bluebird Café and Douglas Corner Café. As a songwriter and co-writer, Doug has had his songs recorded by many independent artists from all over the country. During his time at Best Built Songs, Doug had recorded a number of original demos and work tapes. But in 2005, he decided it was time to get back to his roots as a performing artist and record an “official” album. He began working with co-producers Tim Grogan and Rod Lewis at Studio 515 in Nashville. This resulted in the 2006 release of “Crazy Gravity”, a collection of 13 original songs featuring Tim Grogan on drums and keyboards, Rod Lewis on bass, with Greg Foresman and Howard Buckwold on electric guitars. “Crazy Gravity” is on the Rev Records - USA label and is available now. Crazy Gravity album
$14.45 After the dark and chilling themes of 2006's BLACK CADILLAC, which saw Rosanne Cash dealing with the deaths of her mother, Vivian Liberto, her father, Johnny Cash, and her stepmother, June Carter Cash -- all of whom passed within a two-year span -- one might assume that her next project would move into an even deeper level of bleakness, but with THE LIST, it's immediately clear that she has instead found a more measured place to stand. It's a lovely and redemptive outing that looks back to go forward. When Cash turned 18, her father, alarmed that his daughter only knew the songs that were getting played on the radio, gave ...

Crazy Gravity CD music
$11.17 Often, supergroups wind up dominated by one particular personality - think Eric Clapton in Derek & the Dominos, Jack White in the Raconteurs -- which makes the egalitarianism of Them Crooked Vultures all the more remarkable. Of course, when it comes down to it, it's a group of three natural-born collaborators: John Paul Jones, the old studio ...

| | Shari Puorto & Flatfoot Why Is The Grass Always Greener? CD (2005)
Crazy Gravity album
$16.45 Unique powerful vocals, BIG guitar, feel-good, groove-oriented rock & roll with a full dropper of Blues coloring. If you can't see them live you must get their new CD, "Why is the Grass Always Greener?"! Southern California's contemporary Rock / Blues Band, Shari Puorto, Flatfoot & The Rhythm Addicts attracts all ages and genders with their high-energy, adrenaline pumpin', grass roots style and contemporary sound. Their performances tie together what we remember from the good classic rock-n-roll performers with today's modern sense of style seemingly lost in today's live performing bands. Once you hear them, you will never forget them.Lead vocalist, Shari Puorto (2004 Best Female Vocalist winner @ SBMA*) has been compared to such artists as, Melissa Ethridge, Janis Joplin, and Bonnie Raitt. Not only is her passion for music transparent; but she quickly forms a bond with her audience (she's likely to steal your heart if you get too close!). The combination of powerful, sultry vocals with lead guitarist/vocalist, Michael (aka Flatfoot) Iba's classic rock sense, creative hooks and leads, makes this duo one-of-a-kind. Drummer/Percussionist, Leon Abner's [Chamber Brothers, Michael Jackson tour] deep-pocket and rhythmic sense along with bassist/vocalist, David Abercrombie's 6-string fretless unique style supports this band to a level that will keep you wanting more.Considering that each section of this band is more than physically powerful (from vocals to bass), there is plenty of space within the band's material for intense and muscular soloing from each member. *South Bay Music Awards==============Shari ...
| | Muffy Nixon Freakshow CD (2005)
Crazy Gravity CD music
$12.69 MUFFY NIXONWhile the rest of the girls in her Washington neighborhood were giggling away their golden hours with Barbies and playing dress-up, little Muffy Nixon was penning freaky tunes about her friends and family. When she wasn't taking piano lessons, the seven-year-old would perform in her parents' living room, which also happened to be the waiting room for her mother's in-home psychiatric practice. "It was total chaos all the time," recalls Muffy. "Sometimes I'd eavesdrop on my mother's sessions and make up songs about the conversations. Then I'd burst into her office and sing. The patients must've been horrified," she laughs. "They're trying to get help, when some insane kid suddenly interrupts with songs about their problems. I remember one patient went into labor in the middle of her session and I started singing to her as she began to deliver. There was always something to sing about."Fifteen years later, Muffy is still writing twisted songs about emotional wreckage, but this time it's her own. Her stunning debut album is filled with sharp pop melodies and pointed barbs about broken hearts ("Shoulda Known"), addiction ("Planet Earth"), giant drag queens ("Fame") ...

Crazy Gravity music CDs
$10.15 Stories told like never before, at speeds way past the legal limits. Energy overload as the guitar rips off another solo and the drums carry through the chorus on a train beat thats lost its brakes. By the third song the sweat is pouring off your body as you close your eyes and slide across the floor in a mad two-steppin boot-scootin frenzy, abandoning all efforts to steer clear of the writhing mass around you. This is country! The way its ...
