| | Lloyd United Mypocketzoology CD Lloyd United Discography of CDs
Lloyd United is a band out of Hoboken, NJ with a Manchester sound. Their unique blend of Brit-pop, psychedelic, disco, rock-a-billy and sea shanties makes Lloyd United one of the most distinct and original bands today. With catchy songs, rocking ukulele, and energetic stage shows, Lloyd United has the aesthetics of a classic rock band yet still keeping their own inimitable sound.Phil Rainone of Pop Vulture:Blowupradio.com Presents a Benefit for Spondylitis Assn. of America - Buddies Tavern, Parlin NJ - Sept. 28/29 Ok, if the New York Dolls ever needed a ukulele player, it would be Lloyd United!! Wielding an electric uke, Lloyd had the crowd right from the get-go. "Your Modern Life" and "George Best" were so full of energy and mojo, and Lloyd was boppin' up & down so hard that you thought he was preparing to blast of into the outer limits. He must have mixed Bosco and Ovaltine with a shot of Yaeger, because this cat was kickin' out the jams on a beautiful upbeat cover of The Stones' "Sway" and his original closer, "Kick Your Melancholy in the Balls." Lloyd was just so funny, cool, and he had everyone clapping along to a few of the songs. It's was just an amazing one-man show! From Joe Wawryzniak of Jersey Beat:"Their latest effort finds them in typically fine fettle, with supremely bumpin’ funky-wonky melodies diggin’ deep and groovin’ up the proverbial soulful sonic storm, coolly raspy vocals, neatly slow-trudgin’ tempos and chunky boppin’ beats, and more hip, laid-back, casually assured attitude than the law should allow all ensuring that this honey makes for a very satisfying listening experience." | | Stefano Capobianco Future I Can't Leave Behind CD (2006)
Mypocketzoology
$16.45 Stefano is a New Jersey via Boston now Los Angeles transplant. Picking up the guitar at age 13, he dove head first into the satan loving rock 'n roll of KISS. In comparison to the AM radio upbringing of The Bee Gees, Olivia Newton John, and America, this was a major rebellion. But soon these rock roots grew deeper and stronger with the discovery of Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and The Beatles. But when MTV came around it created a Pop/Rock monster. While simultaneously hating video, killing the essence of music and secretly consuming copious amounts of videos while playing hooky from school, Stefano blended his love of true rock guitar grit, with pop song sensibilities and perfomance art. What is unique and also second nature to Stefano is his ablility to not only be a gifted and craftsman like singer/songwriter in his own right, but to also have the great skill to be able to help make others shine as well. Wether it's by providing extra or lead guitar duties, playing bass or adding excellent and tasteful harmonies, Stefano brings his artistry as a musician and performer to others music in a way that never outshines but always brightens each performer he accompanies. In 1995, after kicking around the NYC scene for several years in and out of bands he tried to develop, Stefano moved to Boston to join old school friends in the band Little John. Stepping in on bass, and fulfilling a dream of being the John Paul Jones/Paul McCartney of the band, LJ went on to sign with EMI in New York and released there debut CD "Derailer" in '96. Things didn't go as well as they would have wanted ...
| | CatDesigners Tomorrow Never Knows CD (2006)
Mypocketzoology
$7.45 "Tomorrow Never Knows" is a 40th anniversary tribute to The Beatles' "Revolver" album ... not an album of Beatles covers but a cover of an entire Beatles album. And not just any old album ... one that is consistently voted among the Top 5 albums of all time ... ever!If you love The Beatles you'll appreciate some of the touches in these versions. For example, every Beatles fan knows The Jam stole the bass-line from "Taxman" for their song "Start." Well, in revenge, CatDesigners stole the bass-line from a Jam song ("A Town Called Malice") and, with some adjustments, used it for this version of "Taxman." A melody line from a song on The White Album ("I Will") appears as a keyboard part on the chorus of "For No One". Following the sea-faring theme, "Yellow Submarine" has re-emerged as an old English sea-shanty. "Tomorrow Never Knows" is industrial glam (think somewhere between Iggy Pop's "The Idiot" and Goldfrapp's "Supernature")Liberal ...

Local song-writer Jarrod Paul Bramson began Solvents as an “outlet for his prolific song-writing and thirst for homerecording knowledge.” The Solvents’ influences ...
| | Jimmy Smith Definitive Collection CD (2008) Remastered
Mypocketzoology
$12.79 Jimmy Smith's recordings for Verve Records have a certain appeal in commercial circles, among movie buffs, big-band fans, groove merchants, and those who simply enjoy a good soul-jazz organ combo. This collection of 12 tracks is programmed in chronological order on dates from 1962 to 1969. While not wholly definitive as the title suggests, there are many familiar themes here that Smith's devotees will find ...
