After having warmed the stage for a distinguished and varied group of acts such as Outkast, Ben Kweller, LL Cool J, My Morning Jacket, Ludacris, Long Beach Dub All Stars, Green Day and Blink 182 with his previous band, multi-instrumentalist and lifetime rock-obsessed Shank Bone Mystic decided he needed a project. Hed had videos on TRL, hed performed on HBO, but hed never had his very own rock band. So he gathered a group of some of his favorite musicians hed shared stages with in the past to form what is now known as the Shank Bone Mystic Project. In the years since theyve been together the band has self-released an LP to a packed house at CBGBs, headlined an international music festival in Guatemala and recently had the honor of performing at CMJ and The Brooklyn New Music Festival. They play live relentlessly, leaving pools of melted faces everywhere they go. Each time they play, new fans are made and the press has been nothing but positive for The Projects memorable melodies and fist pumping rock-outs. Michael Azerrad (Come As You Are, Our Band Could Be Your Life) called them "ridiculous, in the best way possible". SBMP has no intention of stopping, after all, this New York City needs them. Million Dollar Rock & Roll Carousel
$14.59 Singer-songwriter Judith Edelman's music occupies a sort of no-man's land between roots-rock and bluegrass; her regular band consists of herself on guitar, bassist Ben Winship, mandolinist Matt Flinner and fiddler Brian Wicklund, and their sound bears more or less the same relationship to rock & roll that David Grisman's does to jazz. Edelman's voice is taut and muscular, her lyrics sharp. And ...

| | Reel Big Fish Greatest Hits And More CD (2006) Edited
Million Dollar Rock & Roll Carousel
$9.19 The raucous ska-punk sounds of Reel Big Fish began gaining favor in the mid 1990s and continued to gain serious momentum well into the 2000s. While their Southern California party-hard vibe was linked to the likes of No Doubt and Sublime, Reel Big Fish were distinguished by their horn section, which gives their sound slightly vintage ska charm. GREATEST HITS AND MORE collects some of the band's best, including "Everything Sucks," "Don't Start a Band," and their breakthrough single, "Sell Out." By skimming the cream from the group's first decade, the set offers an ideal introduction to these beach-and-beer favorites.
It's become something of an inside joke with Reel Big Fish that their only career success was the mainstream invasion of 1996's "Sell Out," as the band was always joking it was the only song people ever wanted them to play. Hell, they even wrote a song about the supposedly exasperating situation ("One Hit Wonderful") for their 2005 album. The guys are partially right -- that song has indeed been (and most likely will stay) the biggest hit of their career. But stopping there would ignore the sort of impact Reel Big Fish has had on countless fans in the decade-plus they've been around, tearing up the underground for years, selling out shows and inspiring (for better or worse) a whole new wave of ska-punkers in the process. Most one-hit wonders last about two albums, but as of 2006, Reel Big Fish have six full-lengths under their belt. They may not be mainstream or critical darlings, but their fan base ...
| | Ground Beneath Deficient: Live At The Launchpad CD (2007)
Million Dollar Rock & Roll Carousel
$16.45 The Ground Beneath is the premiere touring three-piece melodic metal band from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Brutal drumming and crunchy guitar riffs all come together in a massively catchy power groove. Being the hardest working band in the state is no picnic, however. TGB is constantly on the road out of state and recently opened for Army Of Anyone in front of 800 people. OK maybe it is a picnic. The debut album from The Ground Beneath is available on iTunes, Amazon.com, BestBuy.com, Borders.com, CDBaby.com and more. The Ground Beneath came together in July 2004 and played their first show two days later. Following that was a full color picture w/article in the local newspaper along w/hundreds of local gigs in a short two years, and now TGB is one of the most well known local acts in their hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico. "I'd be lying if I didn't tell you these twenty-somethings weren't residents of talent city", proclaimed local columnist, Simon McCormack ...
