Maybe you know the COREsong "The Angle" from the videogame 'Smackdown vs. Raw', maybe you have already listened to some tunes on MTV's 'Meet The Barkers' or 'Viva La Bam', maybe you just dig our sound - anyway here we are finally on CDBaby! Well, we've been making music for ages. Chris and Sascha started writing and performing together at the age of 15, Harry joined them some three years later. And since then we've been making music for the sake of music. Because we love music - it's as simple as that. Undergoing different incarnations of the band and also experimenting stylistically throughout the years, we finally returned to our very first three-piece basis. Hence the name CORE. But there is also a second aspect to the name: Making music (or any form of creative output) always implies a quest of your very own identity, of the inner potential, of the essence - of the artist's - you guess it - CORE. The band's - and our personal - evolution has led to this band. It's the reason why we sound the way we do. We think that it's a pretty unique thing - hopefully just as unique as people are. We hope that it's special - 'cause that's what we've always wanted to do. (To be perfectly honest we've always wondered why so many bands within a certain genre sound - and look! - totally the same. ) As any band that has been around for a longer period we have experienced ups and downs. As you might know, the three of us were privileged to perform on the biggest and hippest stages, and as some of you might have witnessed, we also played shows in front of just a handful (literally!) of people. We have been signed and dropped, we have worked in some of the most amazing recording studios and we had to change in backstage-areas where not even a cockroach would take a shit. That's the trip, that's the thrill - and we're still enjoying it!The only constant companions on our way are our love for music, the urge to evolve as a band - and YOU, people who appreciate our cordial (no, we won't write COREdial now) way of making music. chris - harry - saschaCORE Core Away Songs | 1. | Chances |

Purchase Away CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Susan Boyle I Dreamed A Dream CD (2009)
Away album
$9.58 Susan Boyle's grand unveiling on Britain's Got Talent was with a song from Les Miserables - the very song that lends this album its title -- and if she could become an international sensation based on a show tune standard, there's no reason for her to change her approach on her debut, since that's the sound that made her a star. Plus, a large part of Boyle's appeal is that she's a middle-aged woman recalling a bygone era when there were singers that appealed to an adult audience by offering soft, stately versions of pop hits and standards. That time was the late `60s and early `70s, and apart from a rather faithful version of Madonna's "You'll See," I Dreamed a Dream could very well have been released all those years ago, ...
| | Jimmy Buffett Buffet Hotel CD (2009)
Away CD music
$9.74 Since Jimmy Buffett never leaves his comfort zone, it's hard to call 2009's Buffet Hotel a return to roots but, in a way, it is. Discounting the mock rap on "Turn Up the Heat and Chill the Rosé," this album doesn't even have the lingering country and reggae flavors that seasoned 2006's Take the Weather with You, with all of the songs riding a cool, mellow country-rock wave, the kind that has been his stock-in-trade since the `70s. There's a difference between being part of a tradition and being stuck in the past and Buffett is surely ...
| | Mark Knopfler Get Lucky CD (2009)
Away music CDs
$15.65 With the release of GET LUCKY, Mark Knopfler has made as many solo studio albums as he made group studio albums with Dire Straits, which itself may be a signal that it's time to stop comparing his two careers and simply accept them as separate entities. Of course, since Knopfler was the lead singer, chief instrumentalist, and songwriter for ...
| | Lady Gaga Fame Monster CD (2009)
Away songs
$8.79 Initially planned solely as a standard double-disc reissue in the wake of the blockbuster success of The Fame, Lady Gaga decided to release the new material as a separate EP called The Fame Monster in addition to the standard two-CD set, where it's tacked onto a now standardized version of her debut. It's a nice move for fans, plus it helps emphasize the new material, which does act as a bridge from the debut to a forthcoming full-length. Everything on The Fame Monster bears a galvanized Eurotrash finish, as evident on the heavy steel synths of "Bad Romance" and the updated ABBA revision "Alejandro," as it is on the rock & roll ballad "Speechless" -- its big guitars lifted from Noel Gallagher -- and the wonderful, ...

| | Bon Jovi Circle CD (2009)
Away CD music
$11.17 Bon Jovi's 2007 effort, LOST HIGHWAY, found New Jersey's finest brandishing a Nashville-tinged, commercial rock/country crossover sound that wasn't too far a stretch from their usual arena rocking anthems for the Everyman. And where that album sometimes tried too hard to fit into the conventions of trad country, sacrificing some of the fist-pumping potency of their best `90s-era efforts in the process, THE CIRCLE, the band's fifth studio effort of the `00s, is a back-to-roots return to form focused on uplifting hooks and a hard-hitting guitar rock energy. Once again teaming up with producer John Shanks, who also worked the band's previous two albums, Bon Jovi relay the struggles ...
| | Skatenigs Stupid People Shouldn't Breed CD (1992)
Away music CDs
$9.79 A strange album, this one -- or maybe not so strange in light of the future, but still odd. Whatever bandleader Phil Owen was on at the time, it helped in creating an album that in its own way almost predicted nu metal, though without that particular compressed explosion Ross Robinson brought on the production front to Korn and Limp Bizkit. Instead, it's an uncredited Al Jourgensen effort that, with the occasional samples and general noise level, is pretty well in keeping with his contemporaneous Ministry and particularly Revolting Cocks work, though without the chaotic level of detail expected from those bands. Songs like the catchy enough riffing of "Chemical Imbalance" are more straight-ahead charges ...
| | Michael Graybill Say Hello CD (2006)
Away songs
$16.45 Michael was born and raised in the heartland of America. His father opened a music store when Michael was 7 and tried to encourage the same love for music that he had. Michael came to embrace his love for music at age 15 when he picked up his brother's Gibson J-50 and began playing. He naturally found his way to acoustic and then electric guitar, and any other stringed instrument, despite all those sax and piano lessons. Oddly enough, it was a bass guitar that was Michael's first instrument at age 8. I guess 'kick the can' and 'captain may I' were a lot more appealing in his younger days.Anyway, years later Michael gets very serious about his music and decides to do his first solo album, 'Say Hello. ' It is a work of his life, love, loss and sometimes pain and frustration with all life can bring. The crux of the compilation is 'Say Hello,' a song about his brother who suffers from mental illness and extreme paranoia overshadowed with delusions of conspiracy theory ...
