David Kamenir is a pianist/ singer/ composer who lives in Los Angeles. He has worked professionally since he was 12 years old. David's new album, "There are No Delis in Ensenada", is filled with unique new arrangements of some well known Jewish standards and is filled with fresh original songs. The song styles range from swing and bossa nova to ballad, pop and and a very funny title song (No Delis in Ensenada). There are two songs with guest vocalists and a new jazzy rendition of the Yiddish standard, Bei Mir Bistu Schoen. The title song "No Delis in Ensenada" is frequently broadcast on AM 1260 (early Sunday mornings) and was recently featured on Continental Airlines.The album features many well known sidemen that David has worked with, including: Carol Chaikin, Mike Nelson, Lou Shoch, Todd Tatum, Michael Kramer, Tony Mandracchia, Ron Kalina, Jack Le Compte and Bill Armstrong.
