I Love You songs Product Information
I Love You album for sale by Diana Ross was released Jan 16, 2007 on the Capitol/EMI label. The material ranges from classic pop (Bacharach-David's "The Look of Love," for example) to vintage R&B (the Platters' "Only You") to seemingly odd but still enjoyable choices (Berlin's "You Take My Breath Away" and the Spiral Staircase's "More Today Than Yesterday"). The arrangements are straightforward, and Ross's performances are enjoyable, if a bit timid, but die-hard fans of the great singer will still appreciate her take on these fine, well-known tunes. I Love You CD music contains a single disc with 14 songs. ...See Full Description

|Diana is back...|
I have read all kinds of reviews about this CD, from those that say it is a masterpiece to those that totally trash it. The fact is that this is a very nice, very enjoyable, very listenable project. Diana's takes on "More Today Than Yesterday," "I Will,", "I Want You," and "To Be Loved," among other familiar songs, are a pleasure. This CD is not a masterpiece, nor is it all that original in concept, yet it is just good listening music, perhaps more middle of the road than pop or soul, but just good music. If people could get over their biases against Diana, they'd see that. This CD is highly, highly, highly recommended for those who can listen without prejudice.

It has been a long time coming, but well worth the wait. Her voice is better that ever. The song I Love You is very moving, enjoy this special tresure as I have.

I hope CDUniverse will permit me to post an addendum to my previous comments about Diana's wonderful new CD, "I Love You." I have listened to the album about a zillion times already. Diana's phrasing is delicate yet powerful, her diction and the clarity of her elocution is more impeccable than ever (among the best in the business), and her magnificent voice has actually captured me all over again. There are absolutely no filler songs on this album. Each track is interesting and very well done. Each excellently-played musical instrument sings along with Diana. For me personally, the standout tracks are the title song, "I Love You," (which is such a beautiful song that I am in awe each time I hear it...in a very long career, this is one of Diana's all-time best vocal performances), "I Want You," "Lovely Day," "Only You," "The Look Of Love," "You Are So Beautiful," "This Magic Moment," "Always And Forever," and "More Today Than Yesterday." Honestly, it's rare for me to like so many songs on anyone's album, but this lovely concept album is truly a soothing and stimulating, heartfelt compilation of great songs sung with perfection by Diana. I am so thankful for the occasional CD by the older, all-time greats of the music business. Why they are not recorded more often is beyond my comprehension. As I said before, Diana can sing circles around the vast majority of younger singers, and this CD proves, as one ages, one doesn't necessarily lose a beat or a note or the capacity to touch and endear. In this instance, it is because of the extremely exceptional talent of Diana Ross. "I Love You" is a very wonderful album.

I have loved Diana Ross since I was in grade school and walked a pretty good distance to the nearest record store in a snowstorm to buy the Supremes' first commercial single, "Let Me Go The Right Way." I have every recording she has ever made; therefore, I had to pick up "I Love You" on it's release day. Diana sounds as good, if not better, as she always has on her new album. I can't stop listening to the title song, "I Love You," and it brings tears to my eyes with each listen because the song is beautiful...simple and touching, and Diana's beautiful voice still gives me goosebumps even after all these years. What a wonderful album. What a gorgeous woman. What a happy guy I am to have a new studio recording by the magnificent Diana Ross. She can sing circles around the younger singers in the music industry, in my opinion. I hope everyone will enjoy this CD as much as I do.

||Still Diana After All These Years!|
Diana's latest is a memory piece - almost a meditation - revealed in popular songs. I defy you not to think of someone you love or loved while you're listening to it. A smile, a tear, a spark... all are evoked by the Diana voice, whose vulnerability and tenderness have never been sweeter. Listening to this album makes you wonder who the movie "Dream Girls" is really about. It's ain't about Diana.
