A young woman stumbles upon a mysterious diary that reveals the secrets of The Three Mothers and unleashes a nightmare world of demonic evil. As the unstoppable horror spreads from Rome to New York City, this unholy trinity must be stopped before the world is submerged in the blood of the innocent. This film is by Dario Argento. The tenants of a Manhattan apartment are terrorized by deadly spirits. Among other equally gruesome things, they are decapitated, clawed to death by cats, burned, and attacked by a knife-wielding killer. Another stylish horror opus from the incomparable Argento. INFERNO acts as a semi-sequel to his previous film SUSPIRIA (1977), involving the same witch-lore. This time around, there are a few very memorable set-pieces, most notably an eerie, breathtaking underwater scene. Stylish, violent, and classy all at the same time.
This is the only Leopoldo Mastelloni video. Inferno Movie Review Part two of the unfinished triology Inferno is the second movie of what Dario Argento calls the Three Mothers Triology. Made right after Suspiria, he relies on the same kind of visual images. Although a bit weaker than Suspiria, it is, nonetheless, a masterpiece. Also take notice of the excelent Keith Emerson soundtrack. Submitted by jaime_s_ferreira (Lisbon, Portugal) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No This review is for a different format.
watch it again & again This is the penultimate in suspense / horror, as you would expect with Dario Argento. Turn the speakers up dim the lights & listen, Throw out anyone who makes a sound as all the subtle sounds make it even more exciting. Each time you watch it you will see & hear more.
A logical & equally thrilling sequel to suspiria. Submitted by esrastar (adelaide south australia) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No This review is for a different format.
Suspend logic to enjoy the visual delights of Argento! Dubbed as the follow up to Argento's masterpiece Suspiria, Inferno was one film that many considered to be Dario Argento's most bizzare and labled "odd man out" of the still uncompleted "Three Mothers trilogy".
Though there maybe a large amount of plot holes and unanswered questions to follow, this film is more like a subversive tale of Alice in Wonderland with a dark edge.
The interesting aspect about inferno is the use of colour effect lighting that Dario Argento often seems to employ in films to create a rather bizzare environment that begins to throw you off course with the added trademark of wonderful abstract music to acompany every scene that follows.
Though argued as a weak follow up you won't forget the wonderful images the film provides
as Argento really knows and understands the pure craftsmanship to help pull these beautiful and elaborate scenes.
One will not help but appreciate the sequence that involves the young female character that submersis themselves in an underwater hole to retrive a set of keys underground.
Though not his best the films is a true demonstration of Dario Argento's solid directing of style and imagery. Submitted by Cava (London, England) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No This review is for a different format.

$10.09 A suspense thriller (or "giallo") from Italy about a gloved and masked murderer who preys on gorgeous fashion models. Could the killer be driven by something more than pure sexual deviance? One of the models keeps a diary of the forbidden love affairs and recreational drug smuggling that takes place at a swanky fashion salon where she works, and the murderer is willing to do whatever it takes to silence whomever reads it. A stylish film from the Italian king of shock cinema, Mario Bava.

$12.99 Dario Argento's masterpiece of horror, with its assault of garish colors, booming soundtrack and horrifically dreamlike set pieces, is the cinematic equivalent of an exceptionally scary fun house. From the first day, however, she begins to realize that frightening things are afoot at the hallowed institution. Enduring a rain of maggots, poisoned food and other unpleasant occurrences, she discovers that the school is a secret convening place for an ages-old witches' coven. | | Captain Everything!/Divit/Belvedere - Live At The Camden Underground DVD (2004)
Inferno video
$13.59 Three bands who are defining the sound of punk music today come together at the UK's Camden Underground to give audiences a taste of rock from both sides of the pond. One of the UK's most popular as well as most snotty pop-punk bands, Captain Everything! are obviously having a good time; their audiences are too with their melodic, buoyant brand of punk. Divit has been packing stadiums lately, but their style defies definition; loud, aggressive, and emotional, they've garnered comparisons to Jawbreaker and Jimmy Eat World, but like many who define the East Bay sound they remain an idiosyncrasy all their own, and continue to explore new realms of music making. Belvedere hail from Calgary, Canada, a four-piece band who deliver hardcore punk rock blended with a more melodic, poppy sound to create an unforgettable live act.
