| | A Band Of Bees Sunshine Hit Me CD (2002)
30 Exitos album
$14.15 The Bees prance around the same psychedelic pop themes and tones of the Beta Band on Sunshine Hit Me. But somehow they take things to a whole other level, as their familiarity with vintage instruments and addictive laid-back swagger help them avoid the pretension that sometimes follows the Beta Band. Where the Isle of Wight duo's peers might name-check the Beach Boys, the Bees simply use them as a subtle starting point. Gentle harmonies mix perfectly with ornate horns that seem straight off a Stereolab album. It's hard to say what's more compelling about the great "Punchbag": Is it the lyric "I'm too much for caged monkeys" or the utterly warped beat that shuffles back on itself like a stoned boxer? The Bees don't linger in one musical genre like so many neo-psychedelic bands. Instead, they perfect one style and then move on to another, and somehow it all fits together perfectly. The lazy throwback jazz of "Angryman" fits snugly alongside the sublime, wobbly dub of "No Trophy." The latter really is stunning, sounding as if it were recorded in the heart of Jamaica rather than on a semi-desolate island. "A Minha Menina" (an Os Mutantes cover) gives the White Stripes a run for their money, as dollops of mad blues energy and a fuzzy guitar beg for inclusion on some future Nuggets compilation. The final five tracks are surprising in their adherence to mellow dynamics, showing that the Bees are wholly confident to end their debut with peaceful pianos, somber organs, muted trumpets, and a general sense of serenity. "Zia" is even reminiscent of contemporary slow-drip songs from Lambchop, only without ...

30 Exitos album
$11.49 Hello, thank you for listening to my music. I have loved music for all of my life. I really do not know what to say on this site about myself. I will say that I am very into writing, playing, recording, mixing, and mastering my own sound. I have spent seven years pressure washing roofs and washing windows to raise the money to get my own recording studio. I worked for it one piece at a time. I knew I would be playing Christian music at a young age. I wrecked my motorcycle as I was doing a 100-mph on the way to renew my license. I was 18 years old and testing my motorcycle’s performance after a job had been done on the front forks. As silly, as this was just before I hit the pavement at about 80 miles an hour I was praying to Jesus very seriously. YES! I was really praying that day and as I hit the pavement I bounced up in a perfect fetal position and tucked in my arms and rolled and flipped and flopped and to make a long story short I walked away. I was bruised and although my helmet faired well my arms did not. I had a massive infection on my arms from the road rash and the doctor wanted to do something I was not in any mood for. I began soaking my arms in peroxide and praying over them every night in the sink. I believe within one week the green film was off of my arms and I was healing. I know some would say peroxide did this and maybe this is so? I myself was amazed that somehow my family thought of it and I was ok. My motorcycle was totalled. I promised God from that day ...
| | Chad Krystals Ill Ideas CD (2007)
30 Exitos CD music
$8.69 Chad Krystals is a producer, dj, and an emcee. He prefers to just be known as a musician that experiments with hip-hop style. Influenced by the “golden age” of hip hop in the late eighties and early nineties, Chad witnessed the intensity of the era and followed such acts as The Beastie Boys, Eric B. & Rakim, Gangstarr, 3rd Bass, EPMD, and KRS-ONE. These acts were the spark that gave Chad the inspiration to write and produce his own music. “Ill Ideas” is Chad’s first major indie release. It is a raw, and upbeat album that has many different styles displaying Chad’s ...
