| | Since The Flood No Compromise CD Since The Flood Discography of CDs
On its second full-length album, this New Hampshire hardcore band plays driving, high energy punk-metal, with throat searing vocals, clanking, bottomless bass, and set-to-stun guitars. Solid, brutal songs such as "Strength" stick close to the hardcore template, with ferocious drumming and focused intensity.
Since the Flood: Chuck Bouley, Luke Buckbee, Kevin Leary, Dave Stauble, Rob Deangelis.

Purchase No Compromise CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Cannibal Corpse Kill CD (2006)
No Compromise album
$10.75 One of the most infamous and censored death metal bands ever, Cannibal Corpse celebrates their 10th album with one titular sentiment: KILL. That's pretty much what it does, too. KILL reminds us who put the death in death metal, combining relentless and intense sounds with lyrics that couple Grand Guignol thrills with slasher-film imagery. Wiry, almost progressive time and tempo shifts choke out the intense riffage and bend it into dramatic extremes, as evidenced on "Five Nails in the Neck" and the assaultive introduction of "Brain Removal Police," exacting and technical in its delivery, much like the rest of the album. Designed almost solely to gross out those who dare read the blood-soaked lyric sheet, numbers ...
| | As Blood Runs Black Allegiance CD (2006)
No Compromise CD music
$11.89 Despite their youth, the members of As Blood Runs Black spent several years digesting various influences and honing their chops before recording their 2006 debut, Allegiance -- a situation which largely explains the contradiction between its advanced musicianship but, at times, both immature and convoluted songwriting. The album's enticing and foreboding intro suggests black metal, yet restlessly assembled ensuing tracks like "In Dying Days," "The Brighter Side of Suffering" and "My Fears Have Become Phobias" quickly alert the listener to expect the unexpected, as the musicians fling themselves around a mosh pit propelled by several different metallic subgenres. The latter track, for instance, is an absolute smorgasbord: following a flurry of death metal riffs with intermittent displays of Cookie Monster ...

No Compromise music CDs
$22.09 The Vajrayana, or Diamond Teachings, of Tibetan Buddhism encourage the celebration of life and the ardent pursuit of enlightenment. Cutting straight to the heart of these aims are Vajra chants. These deeply moving songs of healing and protection are presented here with keyboard embellishments and occasional percussion.
Tibetan Buddhist musical master Lama Gyurme and French composer Jean-Philippe Rykiel offer eight different chants (and an extra "unplugged" ...

| | Rival Schools/Onelinedrawing CD (2001)
No Compromise CD music
$9.55 The first release from the post-hardcore supergroup Rival Schools takes the former members of Quicksand, Gorilla Biscuits, CIV, Burn, Iceburn, and more and merges their style on a collaborative EP with emo mainstay and former Far frontman Jonah Matranga. The bulk of the six-song EP is still pure Rival Schools, with Matranga lending his pained Radiohead-style vocals on no more than two of the tracks. The instant highlight of the record is the dynamic and hard-rocking "Take One for the Team," a track that is as catchy as it is rough, and it certainly represents a step forward into more straightforward music for all of the members, though the music still isn't exactly mainstream fodder. The country-tinged "Where I'm From" is quite an unexpected treat, with singer Walter Schreifels handing in his usually scorching vocals for an out-of-character but fully believable and melodic tribute to his hometown. ...
| | Olivia Tremor Control Music From The Unrealized Film Script, Dusk At Cubist Castle CD (1996)
No Compromise music CDs
$11.99 DUSK AT CUBIST CASTLE, previously consisting of 2 discs, is now available with only the first disc which contains the song "Green Typewriters," comprised of 10 tracks. Disc 2 had contained nine ambient instrumental tracks.
Armed with a knack for hooky pop, plenty of psychedelic weirdness, and every instrument under the sun, Olivia Tremor Control burst into the collective pop consciousness with DUSK AT CUBIST CASTLE. Whether or not the claim that the album is the "soundtrack to an unrealized film" is literally true, this dizzying collection of songs certainly conjures up images of some great, lost, trippy '60s flick. With this album's 1996 arrival, the Elephant 6 revolution was fully under way. The indie-pop collective that also included Neutral Milk Hotel, Apples in Stereo, and others, would make the indie-rock world safe for '60s-influenced psych-pop, and CUBIST CASTLE is one of that movement's flagship releases.
While close vocal harmonies, quirky guitar and piano riffs, and perky rhythms abound; it's OTC's ability to incorporate unconventional sounds and atmospheres into their work that sets them apart from most of their peers. Highly textured, ...
| | Merzbow Venereology CD (1994)
No Compromise songs
$11.39 Be forewarned, the end of days isn't happening, it's just Merzbow. The four tracks on this reissue of a 1994 CD aren't just loud or noisy, they push the envelope so far they challenge the very definition of music. Despite the unholy racket, Merzbow is, unbelievably, composed of only one man, Japanese mastermind Masami Akita. While he's not a household name in the West, Merzbow is perhaps the most well-known artist in the Japanese noise community. His tendency to create tracks ...
| | Crystal Skulls Outgoing Behavior CD (2006)
No Compromise album
$11.69 One would be forgiven for assuming the Crystal Skulls were some metal-edged stoner rock band, but the Seattle quartet's second album is actually a creamy blend of '70-style soft rock (think 10cc, Wings, Al Stewart's Year of the Cat) and the softer side of the Chicago school of post-rock as exemplified by the Aluminum Group and the Sea and Cake. In other words, these 11 songs are filled with airy melodies and AM radio hooks (note the dead-perfect pedal steel guitar accents on "Baby Boy"), but they're paired with a deliberately detached, cerebral air. Die-hard Goodbye Yellow Brick Road fans may well find this album too distant and chilly to fully embrace, but meeting the ironically titled Outgoing Behavior on its own reserved terms reveals that singer/songwriter Christian Wargo has a remarkable knack for pure pop melody. The title track is a particular delight, with vintage synth ...
