Black & White album for sale Product Description
Black & White album for sale by Simple Minds was released Oct 11, 2005 on the Sanctuary label. With a sudden resurgence of '80s new wave from both revivalist acts (the Killers, Interpol) and reunions of the old guard (Duran Duran), the time was certainly right for other veteran acts to "get back in the ring," so to speak. Black & White CD music And Simple Minds did just that, with the release of 2005's Black and White 050505. | All Simple Minds have to have this one Not the best from Simple Minds, but very good. They still on their own style. Specially the last track. By ssttrauss (Houston, TX, USA) This review is for a different format. |
| Nice Try But Falls Short Simple Minds are one of my favorite bands, however Black and White 050505, fails to meet the expectations that this was some kind of comeback to their "original" sound (Sons and Fascination, New Gold Dream, Sparkle in the Rain era). Since keyboardist Mick MacNeil left the band after the Street Fighting Year's tour, they have not been same, and that "something extra" that made them a special band has yet to be duplicated with his absence. Has a few good songs, mainly those without producer Jez Coad's influence. By S S Evans (McKinney, TX, USA) This review is for a different format. |
| Back in form. This is a band that at their best make some of the best music on the planet. Always evocative and melodic, they touch your musical soul. Well,...They're back! With melodies to spare and lyrics to inspire. Best of the best are "Home" and "Jeweller", both top notch songs from Jim Kerr and the lads. A great album.
