| | Akon Trouble: Deluxe Edition CD Akon Discography of CDs
(1 Customer Review)
Young R&B singer Akon's life has been filled with struggle and fortune, and both scenarios are channeled into his debut record, fittingly entitled TROUBLE. Akon was born in Senegal, son of a well-known African jazz percussionist, but moved to New Jersey when just seven years old. Once in the States, Akon was in and out of jail, until he decided to forego that existence and embrace music. Akon's style derives from many influences, including hip-hop and his African heritage, but TROUBLE could be described as the grittier side of neo-soul, with a sound similar to Anthony Hamilton.
TROUBLE opens with "Locked Up," a smooth, rap-infused dirge perfectly suited for Akon's winsome, high-pitched vocals, which retain just a pinch of an African accent. He continues with the somber theme of redemption on the melodic "Trouble Nobody." Akon reveals a markedly different side of himself on the first single, the dance-floor tribute to beautiful women, "Bananza (Belly Dancer)." However, most of TROUBLE wanders in the sadness of living amongst urban decay, focusing on the trouble Akon has seen, and he's seen a lot.
Contains an untitled hidden track following "Easy Road".

Tracks from his time spent on both Interscope Records and Death Row Records are included, as are three previously unreleased tracks, "Unconditional Love," "God Bless the Dead" and "Troublesome '96."

Trouble: Deluxe Edition music CDs
$8.05 Veteran slashers Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees join forces in this combination sequel to the NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET and FRIDAY THE 13TH series. The film begins with a quick recap of both Freddy and Jason's "lives," underscoring their respective motivations to kill and their distinct weaknesses. Freddy (Robert Englund) explains that the present children of Elm St. (including Monica Keena, Jason Ritter, Katherine Isabelle, and Kelly Rowland of Destiny's Child) have no memory of him, and if they don't know he exists, he can't enter their dreams to kill them. Ingeniously, he reaches out to Jason (Ken Kirzinger), the brutish death machine from Camp Crystal Lake, to go on an Elm Street killing spree, hoping a lot of gory murder will jog the town's memory.
Jason is up to the task, quickly dispensing with teenager after teenager ...
| | R Kelly TP.3: Reloaded CD (2005) Bonus DVD; Limited Edition
Trouble: Deluxe Edition songs
$8.99 The rest of the album provides thirteen tracks of Kelly's typically strong and sensual modern R&B. He starts off the record with a reminder that he's far from a one-note artist, coming on as hard as anyone with the anthemic single "Playa's Club," then rolls into a 1970s groove with help from the always-spectacular Snoop Dogg on "Happy Summertime," before easing into a set of slow jams highlighted by the lusty "In the Kitchen" and the breezy "Slow Wind." As much as R. Kelly can't seem to stop getting himself into trouble, ...
| | R. Kelly - Trapped In The Closet: Chapters 1-12 DVD (2005)
Trouble: Deluxe Edition album
$9.99 Released on the eve of R. Kelly's court date, where he faced some serious charges and a very incriminating videotape, the first five chapters of the Closet Cycle confused, amazed, and delighted his fans. The entirety of the series, including all 12 chapters, is sure to have the same effect. Essentially an R&B soap opera, complete with the sets, lighting, convoluted plotlines, and scandalous secrets of daytime TV, TRAPPED IN THE CLOSET features its star and a cast of characters very literally acting out the actions the song describes. The plot involves numerous infidelities, a homosexual affair, a gun, ...

Trouble: Deluxe Edition songs
$48.59 D12's initial success was certainly aided by the high-profile presence of member Eminem, as well as lyrics that took his provocative topics to another twisted, incendiary level. However, D12 also consists of five other Detroit rappers, who were already established and respected before Eminem blew up larger than life. Their debut, DEVIL'S NIGHT, proved to be a witty, irreverent ride. On the follow-up album's mischievous first single, "My Band," the group hilariously (and self-deprecatingly) dissects Slim Shady, its greatest blessing and curse, while revealing an array of skills on the mic.
D12 WORLD should put to rest any dubious notions about the collective. These are six like-minded guys with lightning-quick intellects to match their warped thoughts. "Just Like U" is a deft combination of whimsy and dark brutality, as crew member Bizarre gives "advice" to a child, playfully parodying similar songs by other rappers ("Nas gonna probably hate me/When Mos Def hear ...
