Equally beloved by fans of Celtic-influenced new age, folk-pop, and middle-of-the-road easy listening, the Corrs are perhaps the only band equally likely to be enjoyed by fans of Enya, the Cranberries, and Celine Dion. DREAMS: THE ULTIMATE CORRS COLLECTION is a solid 20-track anthology of favorites from throughout the Irish siblings' career, from their early days as a fairly traditional Irish folk act to their hugely successful adult contemporary pop phase and beyond. Favorites like their hit covers of Stevie Nicks's "Dreams" and the Rolling Stones' "Ruby Tuesday" sit alongside popular original tunes like the worldwide smash "Angel" and a quartet of traditional Irish folk tunes performed acoustically.
The Corrs: Jim Corr (guitar); Sharon Corr (violin); Andrea Corr (tin whistle); Caroline Corr (bodhran).
Personnel: Anthony Drennan (guitar); Ronan Dooney (piccolo); John McSherry (Uilleann pipe); Michael Buckley (saxophone); Keith Duffy (bass guitar); Matt Chamberlain, Kieran Kiely, Jason Duffy (drums); BBC Concert Orchestra.
Dirty Linen (p.50) - "There's an interesting take on the Ryan Adams song 'When Stars Go Blue'....[The album is] European pop with a slight Irish twist..." Dreams: The Ultimate Corrs Collection album
$10.45 Digitally remastered by Tom Ruff (Universal Music Studios East, Edison, New Jersey).
This release was formerly titled: FEELIN' ALLRIGHT: THE VERY BEST OF TRAFFIC.
This well thought-out anthology includes just about every notable Traffic track from their peak years of 1968 to 1971. What immediately impresses here is the range of the band and the variety of their influences. They veer from psychedelic pop (love that cheesy sitar on their debut hit, "Paper Sun"), to jazz-inflected R&B on the instrumental "Glad," via Celtic folk in the lovely, pastoral "John Barleycorn Must Die," and the psychedelic rock of San Francisco-style jams on "Mr. Fantasy."
The whole enterprise is held together by the glue of Jim Capaldi's vastly underrated ...

Dreams: The Ultimate Corrs Collection CD music
$15.65 Though the Corrs are seldom mentioned without commenting on the sibling quartet's strikingly good looks, there's no doubt that the Irish musicians' energetic hybrid sound more than justifies their worldwide superstar status. Composed of ultra-catchy ...
| | Traffic Gold CDs (2005) Remastered
Dreams: The Ultimate Corrs Collection music CDs
$15.09 Although there are a few Traffic compilations on the market, this 2005 two-disc set, puts them to shame, with 30 essential tracks that span the British band's initial run from 1967-1974. (Core members Steve Winwood and Jim Capaldi revived the Traffic name briefly ...
| | Bruce Springsteen Magic CD (2007)
Dreams: The Ultimate Corrs Collection songs
$11.29 Following up two folk-flavored albums, MAGIC finds Bruce Springsteen laying down his acoustic guitar to reclaim his rock-hero crown. He's assisted in this endeavor by producer Brendan O'Brien, best-known for big-time '90s hard rock, but the results have little in common with O'Brien's grungy past. Instead, MAGIC's sonic blueprint is more in line with Bruce's last stadium-rock statement, 2002's THE RISING. The album is front-loaded with hard-charging, ...

| | Super Hits Of The '70S: Have A Nice Day, Vol. 1 CD (1990)
Dreams: The Ultimate Corrs Collection music CDs
$9.09 The inaugural volume of what is now a 30-CD series moves from strength to strength in several different categories, and buying it is not only a no-brainer but also essential to one's education in pop music (assuming one needs it). Starting as it does in late 1969, this '70s volume is a bit heavier and more substantive and serious than many of its successors, and more even listenable on repeated plays as a result -- there are also some perfectly respectable examples of hard rock here ("Mississippi Queen" by Mountain), sharing space with dreamy, ethereal pop like the wistful "Come Saturday Morning" by the Sandpipers, and ...
