| | R Kelly Untitled CD (2009)
Who's Got The Last Laugh Now? CD music
$11.18 After his aborted, internet-leaked 2008 album, 12 PLAY: 4TH QUARTER, R. Kelly busied himself with guest spots for Beyonce, T-Pain, and Kanye West, even offering a free download on iTunes, "I Believe," inspired by the election of president Barack Obama. While such moves insured that Kelly would never stray far from the R&B throne he's occupied for more than a decade, his 2009 reboot of 12 PLAY, UNTITLED, should provide more than enough reason for fans to keep coming back for more. From Auto Tune-laden crowd pleasers like "Outta the Game" and "Crazy Night" to rousing club-oriented numbers like "Echo," Kelly downplays the slower "baby-making" jams this time around for a set of largely up-tempo songs, capped by a sultry collaboration with Keri Hilson ("Number One").

$8.99 Pink's insistently hooky, attitude-filled pop-rock has kept the singer a fixture on the radio and on singles charts since the early 2000s. The artist's fifth effort, FUNHOUSE, doesn't tamper with the formula: Pink's powerhouse vocals and in-your-face approach, ...

| | Pink Sexies Rock N Roll Moustache Ride CD (2004)
Who's Got The Last Laugh Now? album
$14.79 THE PINK SEXIESI play guitar in the Pink Sexies, and it has fallen to me to produce the"write-up" for Mike Wrecked 'Em, or as he likes to be known, "Sugar Britches".So, how do these things go? Do I write about how much we rock? Something like: "These guys totally rock!!! Check out their website!!! Yo!" Well we don't have a website, so that's out. Once a guy named Sean Obnoxious gave us a review in his online zine. The review was mostly about his car breaking down, but at the end he mentioned something about us leading an Appalachian punk rock army, or something like that. We didn't really understand. Maybe I should mention that we're all young, handsome metrosexuals. Is that the right word? Retrosexuals? Petrosexuals? Sexosexuals?Anyway, the Pink Sexies hail from Knoxville, Tennessee. Formed in 2000 from three library employees and a dance instructor on drums (the dance instructor has since departed, and in his place we have an organic-grocery store manager), we played our first show at the Longbranch Saloon that October. We recorded a self-titled EP and put it out ourselves in 2001. A split 7" followed in 2002. And we've just released our first full length on Wrecked 'Em Wreckords(March 2004). Along the way we've played several shows all over the Southeast, and fairly regular shows at the Pilot Light in Knoxville. Mike Wrecked 'Em saw us there a couple of years ago, and when he saw us the first time, he thought, "..Mike, fill in your thoughts here.!We got lots of comparisons, but the two bands that come up most often are Pere Ubu and the Pagans. As we have written and recorded more songs, different influences always creep in, and that keeps us from getting stagnant. I don't think any of us would ever say that we're totally original. So are we creative? You bet. I think what keeps us creative is the willingness to use those influences to go in all sorts of directions. That, and videos of dudes in the bathroom at Tyson Park. It's been our experience that we're either loved or hated (I guess if you want to start a new trend, just be indifferent). I don't know why people tend to be so strongly opinionated when it comes to our music. Most popular/unpopular in the group is our singer, Hamo. He goes out of his way to touch everyone in the audience - in the crotch if he has to. He used to sing while rolling around on the floor, usually with two or three other people. He says those days are over, but we'll see. His singing gets compared to the greats of the 70's LA punk scene. He can hit the notes you need to hear. Nowadays he's playing the keyboard, too.I guess Bill may give Hamo a run for most popular/unpopular member. He's a great bass player, and if you put a guitar in his hands, he can play those Van Halen-style guitar solos - you know: weeedleywweeneeoowww deedreeeeeneeer reeeeeeeee!!!! ( I think that one's from "Hot for Teacher") It's kind of a shame he doesn't play guitar for us all the time. Bill also writes most of the tunes. He enjoys being abrasive, so he's in charge of getting the money. ...
