Super Hits album Product Description
Super Hits album by Teena Marie was released May 07, 2002 on the Sony Music label. If it looks like Super Hits is missing a lot of Teena Marie's best material, it's because it does not draw from any of her Motown releases -- a very significant chunk of her career. Super Hits songs Those years were, without question, her best. Super Hits album That said, Marie's post-Motown career was certainly productive. "Ooo La La La," "Shadow Boxing," and especially "Lovergirl" are all necessary in any Teena Marie overview. Seven other cuts, including a couple other noteworthy singles and album tracks, fill out the disc, but there are more thorough sets -- such as 2000's Ultimate Collection, which covers the Motown and Epic eras rather well -- that are more valuable than this one. ~ Andy Kellman Recorded between 1983 and 1990. All tracks have been digitally remastered. Compilation producer: Leo Sacks. Photographer: Randee St. Nicholas. Arranger: Teena Marie. Personnel includes: Teena Marie (vocals, arranger, various instruments); Paul Riser(arranger, conductor); Leon Ware, Narada Michael Walden (arranger). Producers include: Teena Marie, Allen McGrier.
