| | 20th Century Masters: The Millennium Collection - The Best Of Dru Hill CD Dru Hill Discography of CDs
(2 Customer Reviews)
Issued in 2007, this concise non-chronological collection surveys the three studio albums that the Baltimore-based R&B group Dru Hill (named for the Charm City neighborhood in which they all grew up--future solo star Sisqo included) released between 1996 and '02. Highlights include the immediately catchy "How Deep Is Your Love" (with Redman) and "Tell Me," a plaintive slow jam. Although 20TH CENTURY MASTERS is a solid overview, listeners seeking a more comprehensive Dru Hill anthology should check out '05's HITS.

20th Century Masters: The Millennium Collection - The Best Of Dru Hill songs
$9.59 Usher has been a symbol of tender sexuality ever since he shifted from teenage sensation to soulful superstar. He's breathtakingly good at what he does; possessing that undefinable essence known to a select few soul crooners (Al Green, D'Angelo, etc.) who radiate sensuality through song, Usher has reached an apex on the sultry CONFESSIONS, his fifth studio album.
After the obligatory intro, Lil Jon kicks in with his exhortations on the catchy, dance-floor-ready single "Yeah." Usher follows that up with ...
| | Eminem Curtain Call: The Hits CD (2005) Edited
20th Century Masters: The Millennium Collection - The Best Of Dru Hill album
$10.45 It's hard to believe, given his gargantuan impact on popular culture, that Eminem had only released four full-length albums by 2004. That year's ENCORE showed the rapper's artistic vitality fading just a bit, but 2005's CURTAIN CALL, an overdue greatest-hits collection, helps remind audiences that Eminem produced a stunning string of singles in a short span of time. Naturally, CURTAIN CALL eschews the artist's most controversial material ("'97 Bonnie and Clyde," for example, from THE SLIM SHADY LP), focusing ...

20th Century Masters: The Millennium Collection - The Best Of Dru Hill music CDs
$12.09 Surprisingly, The Ultimate Rock & Roll Collection: The 50s features more actual rock & roll than either of the volumes of the series devoted to the '60s or the '70s, including early rock classics like Elvis Presley's "Jailhouse Rock," "Heartbreak Hotel," and "Hound Dog"; Chuck Berry's "Johnny B. Goode"; and Ritchie Valens' "La Bamba." The rest of the album falls more into the pop territory of the era, including favorites such as Fats Domino's "Blueberry Hill," Johnny Mathis' "Chances Are," and the Platters' "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes." Like most oldies collections, The Ultimate Rock & Roll Collection: The 50s is somewhat scattered, but the whole album is enjoyable nevertheless. ~ Heather Phares
The first volume of Collectables' Ultimate Jukebox Hits of the '50s is much like the others -- a grab-bag assortment. These compilations work best for wedding DJs and those who aren't too picky about having definitive compilations in their music collection. While these discs offer a fair representation of the time period being covered, the process in selecting the tracks for each disc was seemingly done with the aid of a blindfold. Included on this particular volume are Fats Domino's "Blueberry Hill," Elvis ...
