From the twisted mind of Riccardo Freda comes this horror film. Ducking out of a summer storm, 4 hippies (led by Camille Keaton) take refuge in the seemingly abandoned Villa Alexander, unaware taht their hosts (Luigi Pistilli and Luciana Paluzzi) are staging a satanic sacrifice. When the ceremony ends in a bloodsoaked orgy of violence, the hippies flee from the villa, only to find themselves accused of committing a Manson-style massacre. Lightning flashes light up an abandoned road. Four hippies stuck in a downpour stop at a spooky mansion for help. It should be safe, right? Unfortunately, these luckless longhairs are in an Italian horror movie. Soon they are plunged into a bloody satanic ritual and--even after the worst violence is over--they find themselves in a whole new type of trouble. Lucio Fulci's LIZARD IN A WOMAN'S SKIN earned the director a measure of infamy because of a very believable scene involving disemboweled dogs. So believable, in fact, that Fulci had to prove before a judge (with special effects man Carlo Rambaldi) that their dogs were, in fact, fake. A giallo that ranks among the director's best films, the movie stars Silvia Monti as Deborah, a woman who has disturbing dreams about murdering her neighbor. After she relates them to her therapist, her neighbor is actually murdered, exactly the same way she was in Deborah's dreams, leading to a police investigation and some strange revelations.

A couple (Ray Lovelock and Cristina Galbo) travelling along the English countryside stop to get directions from a pair of Ministry of Agriculture workers who are testing an experimental device designed to drive crop-damaging insects into killing each other. While they plan their next stop, a man who has been dead for several days attacks--to be followed shortly thereafter by a full-scale zombie invasion--which could very well be a result of the agriculturist's distribution of ultrasonic radiation. A macabre, atmospheric Spanish-Italian co-production featuring extremely convincing performances and a haunting score by Giuliano Sorgini. Definitely not for those who are faint of heart, Renato Polselli's DELIRIUM is a truly shocking piece of 1970s Euro-exploitation cinema. Although the plot makes the film sound like a giallo, DELIRIUM is actually 100 minutes of lunacy that pays lip service to its complex and absurd story. It stars Mickey Hargitay as Dr. Herbert Lyutak, an unhinged sex maniac who brutally abuses his female victims before killing them.
