Alaina was born in St. Louis Park, MN. At the age of four, her family relocated to Topeka, KS. Alaina earned a BA degree in Contemporary Music with a Minor in Spanish from the College of Santa Fe in New Mexico. Immediately after college, she was cast in the national tour of "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? Live."After a few years of scratching a living as a performer in the Twin Cities, Alaina enrolled in law school in hopes of becoming an entertainment attorney. Alaina turned to blogging as a way to cope after her disastrous first (and subsequently) last year of law school. During the Winter of 2002, Alaina created the first online resource for academically dismissed law students entitled: www.dismissedlawstudent.com. The response was overwhelmingly positive and soon after she created a blog to accompany the popular website.Currently, Alaina is holed up in her apartment finishing her first book of essays and writing blog entries: http://bougiegirl.blogspot.com, http://dismissedlaw.blogspot.com and www.divatosity.com. Then he mastered other instruments like fretless bass guitar, sitar, mandola, chanzy, jew's harp, ethnopercussion (darabuka, djembe, kalangu, udu, frame drums); winds (bansuri, quena, kalyuka, zhaleyka, gayda). Besides he has created some experimental musical instruments: dzuddahord, pruzhingum, plastrimbaphon, rablorrum, ghostcatcher, pin-sansa, spring-pivot-gamelan, banbang (preparated beer- and coffee-tins) etc. In 1991 he founded his first group «Soulbuilding Society" together with Lavrenty Mganga, then he played in «Ensemble Ri» with Lavrenty and Youl(1996). He also launched two other projects with Youl: «Phonic Duet»(1994) and «The Fourth Race» (2001). 2000 - was the foundation year of a trio «Russian-Tuvinian Karma Knot» with a throat singer from Tuva, Ayas Holazhyk. In December of 2005, Sharon won the Voices of Stone Mountain contest and this is where the inspiration for her debut album "Secret Sacrifice" was birthed. Her winning poem was "His Word, His World, His Will, His Way.""Secret Sacrifice" is a collection of poems written by Sharon along her life's journey. These poems are accompanied by beautiful music that will most definitely put you in the mood for worship. If you are desiring to go higher and deeper in God, then this new genre of poetic worship will take you there!Her fans say that she has the sound of a young Maya Angelou and others say that she has a hint of Cicely Tyson in her.
