After starring in the 1950s classic PERRY MASON, legendary actor Raymond Burr created another indelible character with the 1960s television drama IRONSIDE. Paralyzed by a sniper's bullet and confined to a wheelchair, San Francisco police detective Robert Ironside (Burr) continued to bring down bad guys with the help of a tricked-out van and a crack team of assistants that included rookie sergeant Ed Brown (Don Galloway), beautiful policewoman Eve Whitfield (Barbara Anderson), and reformed criminal Mark Sanger (Don Mitchell). Smart and suspenseful, the series distinguished itself with its disabled protagonist, a multicultural cast, an indelible theme song by composer Quincy Jones, and time-capsule plotlines that tackled '60s topics like hippies and civil rights. This collection presents the first five episodes of the nostalgic series' debut season.
