(5 Customer Reviews)
Clay Walker's first album for Curb Records, FALL is a rootsy return to the hard country sound of his mid-1990s debut. Produced by new-traditionalist mainstay Keith Stegall, best known for his work with Alan Jackson, FALL is a crisp, unadorned record filled with twangy guitar-driven country tunes with few pop tendencies. Similarly, Walker (who wrote more than half the album himself) sticks to his roots with fine pure-country tunes like the sly "'Fore She Was Mama" and the blue-collar anthem "Workin' Man." Fall Music Review Average Rating: (4.2 out of 5 stars) Best By Far I have followed Clay and listened to his music for years. This CD has more guts and stamina than any CD I have heard in a long time from any artist. I personaly beleive its the best CD Clay has ever done. I am so glad that Clay's health is strong and his MS is not impeding his ability to make great music, and great music he does make.

Best Album Yet Clay Walker's new album, Fall, is the best he's put out. The blend of his soul, song selection and true country roots make this album worth checking out. His first single playfully reflects on kids finding out how their responsible, calm mother was 'fore she was mama. "Fall" is the follow-up single and could possibly be the best song on the album. He sings about his appreciation of his wife that does everything to take care of him and his kids and never complains. He realizes that she just needs to "fall" sometimes and he'll catch her. The only competition for best song is "Before the next tear drop falls." This is a studio-made duet with the great Freddie Fender. This second verse is in Spanish and is just truly a great country song. The entire album is great. You have your upbeat songs and your slow ballads that combine all of Clay Walker's best qualities. If you don't own this CD, you should. You're really missing out! Submitted by pitch_50_mhs (Murfreesboro, TN, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Great New Album From Mr Walker Great album, i wasnt expecting it to be this good .. as usual, Clay sings with the style that he only has, and sings the songs that are suited to his vocals.
Stand out tracks for me are 'She Likes It In The Morning', 'Miami & Me', and 'Id Love ToBe Your Last' ..
Great country recording. Submitted by Michael (Melbourne, Australia) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Purchase Fall CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Brad Paisley Time Well Wasted CD (2005)
Fall album
$9.59 Brad Paisley's music is an interesting amalgam of country sub-genres, a paradigm all its own. He melds straightforward, pop-friendly New Country with clever, somewhat Lyle Lovett-like songwriting and the occasional flutter of Joe Maphis/Jimmy Bryant-style guitar ...

| | Martina Mcbride Waking Up Laughing CD (2007)
Fall songs
$8.49 Martina McBride is one of the most reliable female performers in country music. Her bright, sunny twang-filled albums have been appearing on the charts since she first arrived on the scene in 1992. On her ninth studio album, WAKING UP LAUGHING, McBride continues to mine a slick, honky-tonk-tinged pop vibe that expertly splits the difference between commercial anthems ("How I Feel") and slightly tougher material ("Cry Cry [Til the Sun Shines]"). With her nearly flawless voice fully intact, McBride also co-produced and wrote several ...
| | Toby Keith Big Dog Daddy CD (2007)
Fall album
$9.99 BIG DOG DADDY is the first album that Toby Keith wrote and produced on his own, and it features a harder edge than most of his previous records, closer to the country-rock of the Big and Rich axis than the neo-traditionalist crowd. In fact, BIG DOG DADDY seems like a sort of mid-career reset, a canny move for a country singer who sees musical trends changing on the horizon. Social trends as well: one song, "Love Me If You Can," obliquely addresses ...

| | Karen Gallinger My Foolish Heart CD (1998)
Fall songs
$13.39 With a voice and a style reminiscent of Dionne Warwick, if Warwick had become a jazz singer instead of going down the pop and rock road. The similarity to Warwick's vocal qualities comes through on "Isn't It Romantic," "Gentle Rain" and "Someone to Light up My Life." This similarity notwithstanding, Gallinger's second album showcases all of her jazz singing skills and she brings a full payload of these skills to this session. On "Emily" she swoops (a la Sarah Vaughan), using a medium vibrato and moving between octaves with ease. "Emily" is followed by a light, scatting rendition of "Just Friends" with Jeff Jorgenson's providing the main instrumental support.. "The Way You Look Tonight" shows off Gallinger's poignant side as she moves through the Jerome Kern, Dorothy Fields classic with only Tom Zink's piano accompaniment. Contemporary pop is represented with "Remember Who You Are" and "Someone Like You" with the requisite rock beat from Zink's programmed synthesizers. On "Lowdown Dirty Doggin' Blues," Gallinger shows she is not only a talented composer, but a more than adequate blues singer as well. Only one complaint, and that's the use of the synthesizer, which is little more than a computer, ...

$8.99 The result is a light, breezy affair that showcases Manilow's easy-going charm, as revealed on his gentle versions of the Righteous Brothers' "Unchained Melody" and the Everly Brothers' "All I Have to Do Is Dream." Wisely avoiding over-the-top arrangements, this record presents a lush, restrained ...
