| | Katatonia Night Is The New Day CD (2009)
Keeper Of Seven Keys -Legacy CD music
$14.38 The latest album from Swedish doom rockers Katatonia, their first studio effort since 2006, is as moody and beautiful as their other latter-day work. The group's career can be marked in two stages based on the condition of singer Jonas Renske's vocal cords -- basically, after the band's first two albums, he developed health problems that prevented him from performing harsh death growls, and ...
| | Epica Design Your Universe CD (2009)
Keeper Of Seven Keys -Legacy music CDs
$13.15 Dutch pomp-metal band Epica, fronted by classically trained mezzo-soprano Simone Simons, released their second album for Nuclear Blast only a year after their label debut, the more unique The Classical Conspiracy. That two-disc live set found them performing a mix of classical works and their own songs with backing by a full orchestra and choir. This album offers more of their bombastic goth metal songs, with Simons' vocals floating atop an ever flowing ...
| | IQ Frequency CD (2009)
Keeper Of Seven Keys -Legacy songs
$14.35 It isn't hard to find listeners who aren't huge fans of progressive rock on the whole but are passionate followers of certain prog bands -- and if you ask them why they enjoy Pink Floyd, Yes, or the Moody Blues so much more than they enjoy other prog bands, they'll tell you that their favorites have mastered something that the others haven't: great hooks. And without a doubt, hooks are a major reason why some of IQ's most devoted followers are people who don't necessarily buy a lot of prog rock CDs. Hooks are certainly a major plus on Frequency, which has an immediacy that a lot of prog recordings lack. This 2009 release is quite listenable, and the influences ...
| | Tool 10,000 Days CD (2006)
Keeper Of Seven Keys -Legacy album
$11.75 To its legion of fans, everything the band Tool does is an event, but the elaborate plan behind their sporadic release schedule--roughly five years, on average, between albums--is due primarily to the time and effort the band packs into each successive effort. To title their fourth album 10,000 DAYS, then, isn't as much an exaggeration as it would seem. Tool are America's most ...

Keeper Of Seven Keys -Legacy songs
$13.65 Disc 2 is and Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files.
In 2002, Saxon celebrated their 25th anniversary. Creatively, the British headbangers have had their ups and downs over the years -- Saxon's albums have ranged from superb to lackluster -- and they have certainly had more than their share of lineup changes. But the band has proved to be admirably durable; many of the other bands that came out of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal in the late '70s were long gone by the '90s (let alone the 21st century). Heavy Metal Thunder is a 25th anniversary celebration from Saxon's 2001/2002 lineup, which consists of two original members (singer Biff Byford and guitarist Paul Quinn) and more recent additions Doug Scarratt (guitar), Nibbs Carter (bass), and Fritz Randow (drums). Upon seeing the list of songs, some might assume that this two-CD set is a best-of or a traditional anthology. But it is neither of those things. The material on Heavy Metal Thunder actually falls into two main categories; disc one is devoted to studio re-recordings of early classics like "Motorcycle Man" and "Strong Arm of the Law," while disc two's primary focus is a 2002 show in San Antonio, TX. And surprisingly, the studio tracks paint a more attractive picture of Saxon; although the San Antonio performances are enjoyable, the sound quality isn't as sharp or as clean as it should have been. Disc two sounds like the sort of bootleg that ...
| | Into Eternity Buried In Oblivion CD (2004)
Keeper Of Seven Keys -Legacy album
$9.69 ''A musical mixture of skull-splintering aggression and razor-edged finesse'' - Revolver. A must for fans of Dream Theater, Iron Maiden, Death, Cynic, nevermore and Opeth. Ten tracks. Century Media. 2004.
The first impression one gets of Buried in Oblivion is a pointlessly technical and flashy dual-guitar wank that should have anyone but a selected ...
