National Lampoonin CD music
$17.09 My name is Shake-A-Vel a.k.a. Greeen Hornet better known as Gangsta Green. I was born and raised in Brooklyn. It was cool growing up in B.K. The only thing that was bad was we were very poor! So it led me to a life of crime at a very young age. I got the name Shake from playing basketball back in the days; I use to put shows on the court. We represent N.A. Rock, which stands for Nostrand Ave. From Fulton Street and Nostrand Avenue up to Lafayette Avenue across to Tompkins Avenue which was called Dodge City back in the day a neighborhood filled with cold hearted killas and snakes -- that's home to me. I got the name Green Hornet from staying on my grind when it came to hustling. I had my first born (Tyke) when I was only sixteen so I had no time to play games. It was do or die for my twin and me who had been through thick and thin with me; that's my little homie. In the year of 1990 I really started taking rap serious as far as becoming a rapper. I studied the art of writing in the back room of my apartment in the projects (NYC Housing Development). I practiced my writing skills for years as if I had been possessed by it. It took at least six years just to master my style of how to flow over beats and not miss a note. My whole thing was to be sharp like I was in basketball. I wanted to be the best at what I did. That's just in me.Still deep into the lifestyle I was forced to live, I eventually became a victim to that violence. I was stabbed one day On The Hill in CT. This beef and retaliation went all the way to NY. We went to hit them and they came to hit us. It was a bloody war. Being in a shoot out with one gun against like seven niggas with four pounds and nines. I got up out of there with only three gunshots to the legs and one in my wrist. My man (JR) and I got hit at the same time. He suffered broken bones ...

National Lampoonin album
$16.39 LIL J - DA MEX CONNECTAfter forming Done Deal Records in October of 2001, Lil J - Da Mex Connect served as the executive producer for two of Done Deal’s previous releases, Candyman’s Makin Deals of A Lifetime and I-10 Konnection’s Introducing Sosa. Many local and national Hip-Hop artists participated in these projects, including Happy Perez, LiI Keke, Slim Thug, ESG and Big Hawk. Helping make music - from behind the scenes so to speak -- whetted Lil J’s appetite and soon he decided to try his own hand and record his own album. For his first solo album, Time 4 Change, Lil J decided ~that he wanted to do something that had never been .1-done before -- mix Hip-Hop and Norteño/Tejano music. He wanted to add the flavor of the accordion to combine the sounds of Hip-Hop and Norteño/Tejano. To do so, LiD decided to approach the best, done before – mix Hip-Hop and Norteno/Tejano music. He wanted to add the flavor fo the accordion to combine the sounds of Hip-Hop and Norteno/Tejano. To do so, Lil J - Da Mex Connect decided to approach the best, El Rey Del Accordion, Ramon Ayala. Lil J’s first single is a remake of Mr. Ayala’s classic hit “Un Puño de Tierra” -- Hip-Hop style. The single is a unique fusion of Hip-Hop and Norteño/Tejano music along with the collaboration of, Grammy award winning artist, Ramon Ayala and producer Russell Lee, most known for his work with current R & B sensations Natalie, Frankie J and recent Top Ten Billboard artist Baby Bash. This new fusion of sound has become one of the most sought after sounds by todays Latin youth. The single titled, “Un Puno de Tierra 04” has been regarded as a history making single and Latin Hip-Hop at its next level. Lil J’s second single, “Sexy Ladies” has virtually become the hottest club song in the Texas club ...
| | Silkhorn Musician In Mantua CD (2006)
National Lampoonin CD music
$13.15 The first time he heard John Coltrane on the radio (1961) in New York City, Silkhorn heard a passion and a cry in the tenor saxophone tone that seemed to speak from somewhere deep inside a place that must be where the soul resides. Not only was the sound of the horn impossible to ignore but the cascade of improvised melody was unlike anything imagineable. So much power and such a blizzard of complexity and hard driving rhythmn that it totally captured his heart. Now flashback ten years to 1951 in Bayonne,N.J. Silkhorn’s first teacher has taken him to a small music store to help him pick out his first saxophone. A magical man named Charlie Oliver(the teacher) ....he spoke very little but taught by illustration. He turned on the radio in the store and tuned in to the song “Moonlight in Vermont” and picked up the horn he had selected and began playing improvised melody to join the music on the radio. Silkhorn was mesmerized by this and became enamored for life about the act of making up music on the spot from the imagination. He never had a chance to learn how to do this before his family moved to Linden,N.J. in 1955. The idea of becoming a musician was frowned on by his depression era parents who wanted him to go to college to become an engineer, so music became a hobby. His first year at Rutgers Engineering was a bust ( he was accused of cheating on his calculus exam for getting the highest grade-- he did not cheat--and flunked out and was expelled ) Riddled with shame ,he left his home amd moved into Manhattan and became a beatnik of sorts ,living in Greenwich Village. His roomate was a filmmaker and Silkhorn became a very prodigious drinker. One of the bars was on W.10th St. called Julius. He befriended an upcoming actor who was super in a building in the East Village. This is now 1961 and Silkhorn had discovered Coltrane and became obsessed with the man. Turns out there was a vacancy in this building and a bass player named Reggie Workman lived there and was a member of Coltrane’s band. The band rehearsed there at times and Silkhorn stayed home for a week to listen to the great tenor man rehearse. And so it happened and Silkhorn was in total awe of John Coltrane and the way he played. Once he was practicing in his apartment above Workman’s and he woke somebody up(he banged on the ceiling and told Silkhorn to practice later.) When Silkhorn came home that night there was a note stuck in his door with a diagram on how to build a baffled box out of cardboard to muffle ...
