JIMBO'S WILD RIDEOriginal, melodic hard rock. The concept behind JIMBO'S WILD RIDE is simple. High-energy rock, good players, a sense of humor, and catchy rock and roll guitar licks. I asked myself, what happened to feel-good rock bands that didn't take themselves too seriously. The answer is!. I really have no idea. However, after ten years of playing in cover bands and trying to think of the next 'big thing' in hard rock I came up with the idea of JIMBO'S WILD RIDE. I've taken my cues from bands that are unquestionably talented, yet always had a certain humor and good time about them like CHEAP TRICK, THE TUBES, and ALICE COOPER. I set out to re-create that same kind of loose, high-energy, fun rock show that always leaves you wanting more. $10.49 There's no shortage of legendary producers in line to work with music world titans U2; when work with Rick Rubin broke off, Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois stepped in. The resulting NO LINE ON THE HORIZON, 2009's offering from the Irish rockers, continues in the grand U2 tradition, as soaring pop anthems like opening single "Get on Your Boots" pair with experimental melanges like "Tripoli," on a striking album featuring touches of all the albums come before, yet hinting at new worlds for Bono to conquer.
After spending the 1990s experimenting with electronic music and returning to arena-ready rock during the first few years of the 21st century, U2 stakes out territory somewhere between those two points on 2009's NO LINE ON THE HORIZON. Enlisting its go-to production trio of Brian Eno, Daniel Lanois, and Steve Lillywhite, the Irish quartet seems intent on crafting a quirkier companion piece to HOW TO DISMANTLE ...

$12.69 Diss - A BiographySo, what's a "Diss" anyway, besides slang for an insult? "Well, hopefully it's not that in my case," laughs Tom Kercheval, a.k.a. "Diss" to those who know his music. "I used to be in a band called 'The Dissidents'," he explains, "and when I first discovered the internet, my e-mail address featured the word 'Dissident.' People just started calling me 'Diss' for short, and the name just stuck."In the midst of recording their debut CD, however, The Dissidents imploded. But Diss, who had always been the band's main songwriter, wasn't comfortable going the solo route just yet, nor was he ready to go through the long, often frustrating process of putting together a new band from the ground up. What Diss knew, however, was that he had to record the songs he'd been writing, and he was determined to do just that, on his own if necessary. Altough releasing them under the name of his now-disbanded band, Diss proceeded to record what were essentially two solo CDs, Valiant and Gunnysack, the latter of which was released in 2000. With the exception of drums, Diss performed all instruments on the CDs, both of which generated strong reviews and fans from California to Australia. But, as he began readying his third offering (Greenhorn, released in November, 2003), Diss knew the time was right for a change."Well, a 'greenhorn' is someone who's new in town, basically, someone who's embarking on a new path in unfamiliar territory," Diss explains. "After I wrote the song 'Greenhorn,' it just became even more evident to me that it was silly to keep recording CDs under the name of a band that really no longer existed. You know, it's that whole 'time to make a new beginning' cliche, wipe the slate clean and start fresh. So, when thinking of a name to attach to the new CD, 'Diss' seemed like the obvious choice. A lot of people already know me by that name, and it's so much easier to remember - and spell - than 'Kercheval. '"But a Diss by any other name would still be producing the same fiery, guitar-driven music, a fire sparked in Diss' youth by revolutionary guitar bands like Big Country, U2, The Clash and others. "Those bands opened my eyes to the real power of music, how it could impact your emotions so strongly, how it could shape your life," Diss says emphatically. "I saw how bands could sing about spiritual things without sounding cold or preachy, how rock and roll did not have to be solely a 'below-the-belt' kind of medium, how music could actually weave itself into your soul and become a part of you forever. Music was just so important to me from an early age, especially during dark periods in my life. It's been my refuge, a great source of strength. I started playing guitar not because I wanted to be the next virtuoso, but because I wanted to write songs, songs that would hopefully touch others the way my favorite music touched me. The guitar was just my weapon ...

Because of this, Dmitriy, EORI, and Julia Yelkina (A choreographer) decided to create a cheerful pop group, which would sing the songs written by EORI.
