| | PB & Deb Growing Up CD PB & Deb Discography of CDs
Deb Snyder and Philip Bynoe, as PBnDeb, have created a unique CD using their personal childhood experiences, vivid imaginations and musical creativity in a fresh and entertaining approach to dealing with issues children face in âGrowing Up.â This CD is useful for parents, teachers and other adults in generating discussion, interaction and problem solving with children encountering such issues.Using a musical genre that is familiar and contemporary, PBnDebâs songs show support and understanding of children encountering problems such as shyness, bullying, fighting or entering a new school. In âBullyâ Deb recalls several girls calling her âChickenâ as they tauntingly surrounded her, and Philip shares his boyhood dream of playing the bass in âI Have a Dream.ââGrowing Upâ also highlights the joys found in the everydayâgoing for a ride, visiting the zoo, listening to stories and even exercising. The best references for Deb and Philip come from children with whom they interacted while working with Urban Improv in Boston, Massachusetts. The following are quotes (and spelling) from some of those children:âI like program because we sing new songs. The reason Iâm writing this letter is because I want to thank you for helping us. I think you make things exiting and fun.ââUrban Improv has helped me use my imagination. Wish we could go there everyday, but we can always use our imaginations so you could be there with usâŚmy want to stand up and sing.ââDeby, youâre the best friend and you very funy and fun to play with and every time you look at me you have a smile. Youâre my best best best best friend.ââI want you to always remember me. You are sweet like a rose.ââI learned that using your imagination is not just for little kids. Youâre funny. I hope you donât forget me when this program ends. I know I wonât forget you.âPERSONAL BIO INTRODUCTIONDeb and Philip first met in Boston, Massachusetts as members of Urban Improv, a talented group of actors and musicians working with children who must cope with growing up in an urban environment. Deb and Philip left Boston to pursue their individual professional careers, but reunited in Los Angeles. The discovery that both retained the passion for wanting to help children led to the creation of PBnDeb. Growing Up CD music
$17.09 A BRIEF REVIEW OF "THE OLD INTERNATIONAL":"C. Daniel Boling has released "THE OLD INTERNATIONAL" and it's a thirteen-cut folk music masterpiece which includes wonderful orchestration, beautiful vocal arrangements, and meaningful lyrics. Boling also follows my golden folk music rule by keeping his songs at a modest length; average song length on this disc is about 3:40. If you liked Boling's "WELCOME HOME," you'll love the new disc. It's more Boling, it's more beautiful, it's more 'better.' By the way, the packaging of the new CD is some of the best I've seen. It reminds me of the days when it was something special to buy a record album, listen to the music, and spend hours reading the album cover. You can do that with this disc. Yippee!" -MyTexasMusic.comA NOTE OF INTRODUCTION FROM DANIEL:Hello -I'm Daniel Boling, a folksinger and songwriter around the U.S. for over twenty years. My third CD, THE OLD INTERNATIONAL, was released in June, 2003. The album features my original story songs of family life, love, friendship, and joys and sorrows along the way. It is my great honor and pleasure to be joined on some of the tracks by dear friends from the road including Bill Ward, T.R. Ritchie, Still ...
