| | Theory Of Mind Enter The Misfit CD Theory Of Mind Discography of CDs
Tony Belcastro, the artist behind Theory of Mind™, is an autistic composer and musician that sees the world around him as if he is an observer caught within the confines of a 3 dimensional movie, where the background scenery resembles a 2 dimensional oil painting and everything and everyone is either a prop, or a character in the show. The music of Theory of Mind presents an opportunity for the characters to experience the movie from Tony's point of view. Considered instrumental progressive rock, or even progressive fantasy rock, Theory of Mind fuses elements of many music genres including rock, classical, blues, jazz and electronica into a thick sonic stew. From distant times and places to dreamlike fantasy worlds, one goal of Theory of Mind is to teleport the listener to other dimensions on a musical roller coaster ride within the often intense and unpredictable mind of a bipolar autistic savant; where a relaxing moment can instantly transform into a whirlwind of flying debris from which there is no escape until it sets you down at your destination.Theory of mind, in psychological terms, means having an understanding that other people’s minds are different than your own and having the ability to comprehend, or develop theories about what other people are thinking, or feeling, simply by observing them. It is often referred to as the ability to "walk in someone else’s shoes." Most non-autistic people develop theory of mind at an early age and are able to reciprocate emotionally, even when they are very young. Like many autistic people, Tony does not have this ability, which contributes to extreme stress when confronted with any form of social interaction, a major difficulty for him, especially if it involves people that he is not highly familiar and/or comfortable with.Tony’s musical endeavor with Crater Rock Music has been named Theory of Mind because music is a natural form of expression for him. He is able to convey the emotions and experiences within himself to other people through his compositions more effectively than he can verbally. It is Tony’s hope that his music will help to cultivate the acceptance and appreciation of autistic people everywhere. Theory Of Mind Enter The Misfit Songs | 1. | Enter the Misfit |

$17.09 Steve Smith and the Nakeds have a twenty-seven year history, performing in concerts, clubs, and special events all over the United States and Canada, including occasional dates with E Street Band alumni Clarence Clemons and Nils Lofgren. In 1994, they performed with Clarence Clemons for President Bill Clinton at his Health Care Rally in Washington, D.C.The ten-man unit consists of a four-piece rhythm section, a five-piece brass section, and a lead vocalist. Other featured selections include three new original songs written and used by permission of E Street Band guitarist Nils Lofgren.Twelve more superbly written and performed original compositions are included on this disc, the majority of them written by various members of the Nakeds band, along with two songs previously recorded by other notable performing artists. The styles of music represented on this recording range from R&B to Rock-and-Roll, and soulful R&B ballads.Reviews"The Nakeds are a party machine with their top grade, five-man horn section and road tested front man, Smith"-Steve Morse, Boston Globe"Rhode Island has exported a long line of fine rhythm & blues-rooted rock bands, Roomful of Blues, Duke Robillard & The Pleasure Kings, and now Steve Smith and the Nakeds"-Geoffrey Himes, The Washington Post"I bet local music writers in towns like, say, Charlotte or Denver or Sacramento don't have the privilege I do of writing about great R&B. Providence has such a formidable tradition, such rich musical heritage in its blood, that it's nearly impossible to shake, like a virus for which there is no cure. We may not be a "hotbed" of anything. We may not sign bands to major labels like ...
| | Quasar Wut-Wut Taro Sound CD (2004)
Enter The Misfit CD music
$15.19 After four years of gigging and untold hours of knob twiddling, Quasar Wut-Wut has produced an ambitious album that's challengingly experimental yet ultimately accessible. Lyrically dark but sonically thrilling, TARO SOUND doesn't fit neatly into any single sub-genre of indie rock. It is the painstaking result of a thinking band's toil, a teeming cityscape of upside-down pop houses and tangent-taking breezeways echoing with the poetry of Cohen, Newman, and Ono Band Lennon. Imagine Frank Zappa hosting an episode of the Muppet Show if Animal was a klezmer drummer. TARO SOUND is a dense, frantic soundtrack-and it's Quasar Wut-Wut's calling card to the world. Relocating from Detroit to Chicago in 1999, Quasar Wut-Wut took aim at Chicago's club scene scoring gigs with national acts such as Pedal Steel Transmission, Apples In Stereo, the Lucksmiths, Local H, and the Waxwings; the hipsters responded with ...
