| | Predator Dub Assassins CD Predator Dub Assassins Discography of CDs
Original roots-reggae band Predator Dub Assassins was formed October 2001 and played their debut show at NYC’s Continental to benefit the families of the victims of the 9/11 attacks on Manhattan. A loyal following developed around P-Dub, as people were quick to connect with the band’s music. Since then the group, formed around multi-instrumentalist/songwriter Ras Timothy(aka Predator), has continued to enthrall live audiences everywhere with the Dub Assassins’ own brand of original 1970’s style Rasta roots-reggae. Predator Dub Assassins released their first CD in July 2005 and, since then, have been performing non-stop to a loyal following which they have seen grow rapidly. Regular appearances at popular area venues continue to provide the group with a link to the NY/NJ scene from which they were spawned. Predator can also be heard on recent CDs by The Itals, Ronnie Davis, WestBound Train, Barry and the Penetrators, King Django, Dr Ring Ding, Stubborn Records, and; of course, Ska legends Inspecter 7. Predator Dub Assassins music CDs
$18.95 Dante Ascaino: classical, 12 string and electric guitarEugenia Menta: violoncelloThe term "Lila" is a Hindu word, which translates literally as "Play". It explains the creation of the Universe as a "joyful game"... played not by gods at work, but rather by lighthearted forces which do so spontaneously. This spirit of "creating", understood as a blissful game, is certainly the guiding concept which underlies the duo's first CD release. "Our project definitely started out as a game... Its very first challenge (and reward!) was to find our own, unique sound using this quite unusual instrumental combination. We had no ...

| | Patty Hall Just Be Glad! CD (2005)
Predator Dub Assassins songs
$17.09 PATTY HALL NATIVE DAUGHTER OF THE GOLDEN WEST WWW.PATTYHALL.COMPatty Hall loves to celebrate. In her original and traditional songs, many children's book, and variety of live programs, this 4th-generation California native applauds the playful world of childhood, the importance of family and home, and the humorous side of growing older. Though she also wears "author" and "folklorist" hats, Patty counts folk music as her first love. For more than three decades, she has delighted audiences at folk festivals, coffee houses, and in concert with an eclectic mix of old-timey, country/blues, and original songs, played on guitar, banjo, and keyboard. Patty's repertoire also includes songs that tie into themes of her children's books. Patty first caught folk music fever as a teenager in the San Francisco Bay Area. Already a diligent plunker on her Dad's ukulele, she won a set of series tickets to the 1963 Berkeley Folk Festival from KPFA radio, and it changed everything. High on folk music, Patty scoured Berkeley record stores for any and all Folkways albums she could find; taught herself to play banjo, guitar, and autoharp; and made her performing debut at Hayward High School in a all-girl old-timey band. As an undergraduate at UC-Santa Cruz, Patty caught another bug-collecting antiquarian children's books. She was especially intrigued with the lushly conceived books by a man named Johnny Gruelle, a talented author-illustrator whose own modest persona had been eclipsed by his most famous creations, Raggedy Ann and Andy. Patty was inspired by writing of a different sort in the early 1970s, when she penned her first original song, "Organic." This topical ode to the ...
