$11.15 Claes Nilsson wakes up in the morning from Frasse rubbing against his tummy. Frasse has a strong character – considering he’s a Norwegian cat. A strong character is also possessed by Claes Nilsson’s guitars. They own a nice scent of forest – considering they are guitars. Inside a wooden house by the lake Vänern there is a sparkling fire burning. The house is his father’s life project and became more important than most things. Behind the house the treetops reaches for the dark sky, the fir is shivering and the often used chord sequence turns suddenly into something new and unknown. Mythological stories sneaks out from the shadows. Claes Nilsson doesn’t know what they mean – until afterwards. Perhaps not even then. When you step inside his wild forest and mighty darkness of rain and ...
| | Lance Christopher Re-Construction CD (2007)
Moon Behind The Hills music CDs
$9.85 "His sound is...country, but more intimate: His performances often strip down to mandolin, acoustic guitar, and bass, in spare productions that recall Rick Rubin's work with Johnny Cash. In these settings, his voice holds the spotlight: It is conversational yet elastic, masculine yet delicately textured, in the fashion of early Merle Haggard."--Robert L. Doerschuk, "Artists In The Limelight" A&R Registry, May/June 2006"There is a truth and sincerity in Lance’s music that is very rare. Heartfelt emotions are projected into every song. What’s special about this talented singer/songwriter is that… you don’t only hear him, you believe him! The songs are based upon the simple principles of honest living, in both the good times and the bad. His genuine, good-hearted spirit reaches far beyond his music… it’s evident to all he comes in contact with! I know that he will be (and already is) a blessing to many!" --Amber Patterson, HMG Nashville, Power Source Inc."When I listen to music, I like songs that stand out because they are different than the same ole stuff on the pile. (Lance's music)...has a funky factor to it that is unlike anything on the radio... Left me wanting more!"-- Keith Allen, Midwest Country Music Director, The Moose 94.5, Saginaw, MI“Lyrical honesty... Obvious talent!” -- George Peden, music critic for CountryReview.com“Remarkable talent!” -- Steve Ekblad, music critic for AudioGrid.com*************LANCE CHRISTOPHER'S RE-CONSTRUCTION*************Lance Christopher’s music is powered by an earthy blend of traditional sound and pop power. Carried by rich, supple vocals, and unforgettable melodies, his songs flow from the rhythm and poetry of new Americana/country music. With the release of his sophmore album, "RE-CONSTRUCTION", Lance shares secrets... Intimate expressions of faith in the midst of life's storms. Lance said, "On this very unique collection of songs, I had the privilege of working with producer, Ernie Petrangelo. He is a rock and rap/hip-hop producer originally from the New York music scene. I was familiar with his work and was blown away by his creativity. He hears things differently than the regular Nashville ears. I wanted something cool and fresh, and though he was a little skeptical at ...

$16.45 THE FLAMES OF DISCONTENT...'REVENGE OF THE ATOM SPIES' was recorded in the cold reality of upstate New York in January, 2007. Even with the peripheral knowledge of a new Congress in place, our immediate view was confronted by an endless, illegal war waged by an illegitimate president. The promise of the New Year—one without a Right-wing stranglehold of Washington—continues, yet both the butcher’s bill and the deficit continue to swell. Civil liberties, labor laws, women’s rights, environmental protections, and immigrants’ rights have been strip-mined. Suspicion of other continues, even as our loyalty is questioned. Today, we live in a frightening reflection of the infamous Red Scare periods in US history: the first one was in 1919, the second in the 1930s, and the third, which began in 1947, boiled over in the 50s, only seemed to fade by the 70s. This compact disc is a collection of topical song and prose informed by past and current events. Cold War-style sounds and imagery speak in real time and in metaphor. Strains of folk, vintage pop, punk and world music suggest a Protest Song for today’s dangerous times……when listening to this album, please do so with eyes facing straight ahead as well as within range of your rear-view mirror. * * * * * * * * * * *"John Pietaro, Laurie Towers and company have recreated the mood of the 1950s Witchhunt...and just in time for the newest ...
