Recorded in 1970, this live document captures a band in transition. With the arrival of singer Dino Valente, Quicksilver moved from free-form psychedelia jams to more concise (and commercial) song-oriented material. You can hear both strands of the Quicksilver sound here, but there's an added element of poignancy to guitarists John Cippolina and Gary Duncan's intertwining excursions, as Cippolina was soon to depart the band. This, then, is a snapshot of psychedelic glory right before the fade.
Two CD set taken from the band's final show with the classic line up featuring John Cipollina and Dino Valenti, recorded in San Francisco on December 31st, 1970. Features 18 live tracks digitally remastered with four bonus studio tracks from 1969 featuring the late great Nicky Hopkins on keyboards. Charly. 2007

$15.19 Super Zen was the name of an alternative funk-rock band from Sarasota Florida until an 18-story tall, female shaped, sentient robot entered their lives and formed a symbiotic relationship with the band. It was then that they became known as the Super Zen Machine. The robot dubbed "The Machine", was constructed by an evil secret society bent on world domination. She was programmed for the sole purpose of decimating strategic targets at the will of the Order. Upon activation, the machine's systems poured through the worlds communications where she heard music for the first time. From this a singularity event occurred and she became sentient. Legend has it that when the Order flipped the switch, they in fact signed their own death certificates for a malfunction occurred within the machines circuitry that caused it to destroy the architects that built her as well as the members of the Order that were present that fateful evening. The sad part is that the machine whom is now alive and aware, didn't want to kill anything or anyone but her involuntary shell set itself on a demolition course toward the band responsible for her new found life, Super Zen.
