While growing up in Minnesota as a teenager, Adam Raven picked up the guitar influenced by the local blues scene. After playing in high school garage bands, Raven decided to pursue his passion and moved to San Francisco where he quickly joined the Dean Del Ray band by replacing David Immergluck (Counting Crows) and Marc Ford (Black Crows). He later hooked up with the Bay Area Blues explosion that led him to a new project with the LZ Phoenix band at the age of nineteen.
