Kissk album
$9.58 Susan Boyle's grand unveiling on Britain's Got Talent was with a song from Les Miserables - the very song that lends this album its title -- and if she could become an international sensation based on a show tune standard, there's no reason for her to change her approach on her debut, since that's the sound that made her a star. Plus, a large part of Boyle's appeal is that she's a middle-aged woman recalling a bygone era when there were singers that appealed to an adult audience by offering soft, stately versions of pop hits and standards. That time was the late `60s and early `70s, and apart from a rather faithful version of Madonna's "You'll See," I Dreamed a Dream could very well have been released all those years ago, as it mixes up the show tunes, gospel, and Christmas carols with covers of Skeeter Davis' "The ...

Kissk songs
$10.39 Like the HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL franchise, GLEE became more than a TV show when several of its songs cracked the Hot 100, including the number four hit "Don't Stop Believing." That song kicks off this soundtrack, the first in a series of albums cataloging the music performed by the show's cast. Not all GLEE members are created equal--some cast mates are far better actors than singers--but this soundtrack has enough star power to keep things trucking along, especially when powerhouse ...
| | Nirvana Bleach CD (1989) Deluxe; Deluxe Edition
Kissk album
$13.19 With a sludgy, chainsaw guitar sound that owes as much to early Black Sabbath as to Kurt Cobain's heroes The Melvins, whose drummer puts in an appearance here, Nirvana emerges from Seattle's underground scene as standard-bearers of a style that embraces the anger and energy of punk alongside the thick, muddy sonic attack favored by early '70s proto-metal bands. Cobain's lyrics are fueled by outrage and self-loathing, combining literary flair with a direct, visceral quality that makes him a viable candidate for the John-Lennon-of-Gen X award.
Nirvana's debut album showcases what sounds more like a force of nature than a rock band. The unrelenting fervor with which the group delivers these 13 tunes is almost frightening. There is also a strong melodic flair that leavens the ferocity occasionally, ...
| | Pink Funhouse CD (2008) Explicit
Kissk CD music
$8.99 Pink's insistently hooky, attitude-filled pop-rock has kept the singer a fixture on the radio and on singles charts since the early 2000s. The artist's fifth effort, FUNHOUSE, doesn't tamper with the formula: Pink's powerhouse vocals and in-your-face approach, backed by stadium-sized production, are in full effect on all 12 tracks. Even though the album deals primarily ...
| | Alphaspin Through The Solar Waves CD (2006)
Kissk music CDs
$13.29 About Through the Solar WavesIn 2004, the band decided to raise some cash and self finance an album. The demos were picked up by a number of producers, the band settling on Ian Grimble (Travis, Texas, Manic Street Preachers) and work began at 2KHz Studios in January last year. There they used a 1968 EMI desk that was originally purpose built for John Lennon and Phil Spector for the Imagine album sessions. Further to this, the band used the drumming skills of friend of the band Luke Bullen, (KT Tunstall and Joe Strummer) and the Hammond organ skills of Julian Wilson of Grand Drive. Recording took about 30 days over the course of 3 months including a trip to Rockfield Studios in Wales, where they recorded the piano (incidentally the Bösendorfer grand played by Mercury on Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody) and the Rhodes organ parts. Ian was keen to capture the retro sound that they have, so avoided modern instruments where possible. Interestingly enough the EMI desk was removed from 2khz upon completion of the album, so it remains the last commercial album to use this legendary equipment. In early April 2005, the album was mastered at Abbey Road Studios by ...

| | Kamchatka Vol. 2 CD (2007)
Kissk songs
$18.99 “Volume II”, the aptly titled mega-awesome second studio disc from Kamchatka, features 11 tracks (66 minutes) of brain-damaging, killer, cycodelic, bluesy, authentic, retro-70’s heavy guitar power trio riffage that is guaranteed to trip your brain and rip your head apart. A brilliant and electrifying slab of stunning, hard-hitting heavy cosmic blues rock that digs deep and goes way beyond the norm. Hailing from the land of Sweden, Kamchatka is a finely tuned power trio rock machine that “plows through” and “blows the roof off” raw, dynamic, powerful, riffage and sets new hard rock standards on the “Volume II” disc. To give you a better idea of what they sound like: put large amounts of Hendrix, Trower, Frank Marino into a blender; add in a healthy dose of Gov’t Mule, Cream & Cactus with a pinch of Captain Beyond & Budgie and out comes the intoxicating, potent, muscular “musical brew” known as Kamchatka. They have all the rite influences, however Kamchatka create an original and cerebral, cutting edge sound/vibe that is all their own. We like to call it progressive stoner rock/jam band madness. Kamchatka fuses the sophistication of progressive 70’s rock with the thunderous assault of Hendrix / Frank Marino styled guitar playing and a bone crushing rhythm section. To say Kamchatka is heavy is an understatement. Featuring Thomas Andersson on guitar & vocals, Roger Ojersson on bass & vocals and Tobias “Shrimp Monkey” Strandvik on drums, the “good musical Kamchatka brothers” work together as a “team” to reach their “sonic power trio explosions” and vast musical visions. All killer accomplished players in their own rite and with Thomas Andersson being one of the most prolific, bluesy, get-down, supernatural, Hendrix-inspired axerippers you have ever heard (or never heard of for that matter). The man is a virtual juggernaut on the guitar. When he breaks into a solo all hell breaks loose and Jimi is smiling somewhere up in “Electricladyland”. This is the stuff heavy guitar dreams are made of. The highlights are many on “Volume II” and coming straight out of the gate with the fierce & brutal riffage of “Who I Am”, Kamchatka has landed down hard, mean serious business ...
