| | Randy Niles Along The Way CD Randy Niles Discography of CDs
Cultured with layers of folk, soul, and rock Randy Niles has hit on a musical gem which is sure to catch the attention of all who experience his music. His complimenting blend of melodies with great song structure and poetically soothing vocals is what makes this young artist so unique.Spending much of his time on the road or supporting other artist Randy quickly learned the ropes to developing a concrete path towards his talent.Using his talents he quickly gained a name is his local music community playing in various bands on various instruments to promote himself as a serious, multi-talented musician. Once he was able to create a buzz for himself and make several business as well as personal connections he began preparing himself for his venture as a solo artist. In late 2005 after a short tour overseas in Japan, Randy returned to the states to begin work on his first solo album "Along The Way". He spent over 7 month in his own home studio writing and tracking his music before taking everything to a larger format to complete. He spent the remainder of 2005 and most of 2006 crafting each song and even setting up a local tour schedule in New York City to bring more life to the songs. What truly sets this artist apart from his peers is his ability to capture the moment with each song he creates, always keeping in mind the picture at hand . From songs like "Satelllite" which creates a picture of love gone bad using a metophoric vision of real life satellites, Randy puts you in the drivers seat as you feel and experience each word he breathes.Randy's unique and original style of songwriting links all his music together in a sort of story book manner. This style of consistency is what really lends a special touch to Randy's music and keeps the listener wanting more. "Along The Way" Randy's first full length release is a well structured album that not only delivers strong musical content but creatively captures a balanced mix of live and studio performance. This is the core of what Randy wanted the album to give to his audience, a true and polished record that speaks to the heart. Maintaining some raw aspects in the sound and blending that with some todays more common methods of recording was what making Along The Way was about. As a multi-talented artist he keeps himself on the edge always challenging himself to push harder for the best results. The outcome is music that is layered with rich guitar sounds and a rhythm section that maintains a pop attitude without compromising his singer/songwriter sense of style. Randy Niles is an artist that truly speaks to his listeners and is always creating music for that purpose. There is a bright future and long road ahead for him and he is clearly stuck on that road. The talent he posesses is something many have and are still trying to discover, this is what makes Randy such a sought after artist. Randy Niles Along The Way Songs | 1. | Satellite |

| | Colour Club CD (1994)
Along The Way music CDs
$11.35 Issued in fall 1994, the Colour Club's self-titled JVC debut was an attempt to mix smooth jazz with hip-hop. The lush "Freedom Words" has soundbites of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., with the next track, "The Great Issue," in the same vein. "Trust in Me" has the driving pulse of a Tony! Toni! Toné! track (e.g., "I Feel Good") and background vocals that suggest a hyperactive Take 6. The catchy bass-led "Consumption" recalls Marcus Miller and received smooth jazz radio play. The highlights are "The Cultures of Jazz," "Howbotsumtinlikdis," and the matrimony-themed "Don't Wait Too Long." It was a bold move by JVC, whose biggest artist at the time was Paul Hardcastle, to release this album. Stylistically, it could have been a bid to pick up more urban radio play, though it's questionable how many smooth jazz radio stations "got it" at the time of its initial release. ~ Ed Hogan
Veteran songwriter/producer/multi-instrumentalists Bernard and Pierce have set aside their individual projects, and set off together on a musical journey called Colour Club. What these guys do just for fun would make most musicians turn green with envy.A variety of vocalists and instrumentalists contributed their talents, making Colour Club a melting pot of sounds and images. The tracks included in this continuous loop of music range from rhythmic chants to urban ballads. The common thread in Colour Club's vibrant song tapestry is their positive message. Every song is an attitude-altering, thought-provoking good time. This fresh duo is on a musical trip...and everyone's invited.Ever wonder what kind of a project songwriters with hit-making backgrounds work on for pure personal satisfaction? | | Ted Hoagland Left Field CD (2006)
Along The Way CD music
$8.55 BIO: Originally from a small town in southern Indiana, Ted Hoagland took up guitar at the age of 8. He fronted bands in high school, and by the time he moved to Santa Barbara, California in the late 90s, he had discovered a love and talent for writing songs. After a few years of writing and performing exclusively as a solo act, he released Left Field in 2001, bringing an undeniable songwriting voice to the southern California music scene. In 2003, Ted formed The Hoagland Conspiracy, a roots-oriented trio fueled by Ted Hoaglandâs lyrics and melodies and spanning a range of styles from to 70âs funky rock to country to old-time inspired blues. Unlike many singer-songwriter based bands, this combo is not afraid to dig in and jam when the mood strikes, which makes them an immensely satisfying live act. Their CD, âThe Hoagland Conspiracyâ, is also available on CDBaby.LEFT FIELD: Ted Hoagland is the rare songwriter who can combine compelling melodies with insightful, playful lyrics, and make it all seem easy. At home in a range of genres, he employs a broad musical palette to create landscapes for his engaging tales. Ranging from sweet to dirty, the guitar-based music is powered by distinctive blues, rock and folk hooks, backing his versatile baritone voice. Lyrically, the songs combine skillful storytelling and a wry sense of humor in the service of genuine emotion. With his debut album, Left Field, Hoagland establishes himself as a potent musician and writer, and a unique voice of his generation.Despite inhabiting diverse genres, each of Hoaglandâs songs bears his stylistic imprint. Left Field presents an expansive gallery of musical textures: smoke-filled speakeasy jazz (âCalvary Hillâ), electric Chicago-style blues (âBoogie Manâ), Nashville-tinged ballad (âGo Easy on Meâ), twangy jug-band folk (âBandaid on a Bruiseâ), Latin-inflected lounge (âMariaâ), talking-blues parable (âGodâs Willâ ), bittersweet dreamy undulating flight (âShadows on the Sunâ), ambling bouncy rock (âTime for to Playâ), and tender, personal lullabies (âClearingâ and âInnocenceâ). âI try to let each song Iâm writing lead me where it needs to go, even ...
