David wrote his first song aged thirteen, when his best pal Clive urged him to come up with some lyrics to a tune he kept humming so they could impress famous 60s disc jockey Alan (fluff) Freeman whose car they used to clean. It was a catchy tune and this is how it sounded: "da da da da da da da da da da" - Like it? Influenced by the Kinks and the Beatles ... Neil Sedaka, David Bowie and Billy Joel, Noel Coward ... Chopin, Rodgers and Hammerstein ... Cole Porter and Irving Berlin,amongst others ... including Brian Wilson to name another few, David started to hum his tunes into the old one track reel to reel tape recorder under his bed so as not to annoy his gran in the next room, to send off to up and coming publishers and record producers like EMI and George Martin. The replies were short and not too sweet: get a better tape recorder was one piece of thoughtful advice.Then in 1970 David met Alec Gould one of the many collaborators who helped David hone his skills. They wrote three songs for Lois Lane out of the Caravelles and through Alec, David met Bob Jackson.David wrote great lyrics to Bobs catchy tunes, one of which The New Seekers were about to release just before they spilt up in 1977.working with Ray Davies and Barry Mason encouraged David to become Geezer. JOSHUA WARREN’S BIOJoshua Warren, better known as J.Warren, is a dynamic artist that truly personifies gospel music at its best. Joshua was born on October 13, 1984 and raised in Miami, FL. Joshua was brought up in a Christian home, where his parents were both Pastors. “We are a Bible based family!” Joshua says. Nothing was tolerated that was contrary to the Word of God. Joshua was taught to put and keep God first at all times. Joshua’s upbringing is one of the main reasons he is a man of God today. Joshua has graduated with his degree in Engineering from Miami-Dade College. His studies are directed to Sound Engineering/ Creative Production/ and Technical Engineering. Also, Joshua is expanding his knowledge in the Word of God, by attending Faith Christian Center (Jacksonville) Bible Training Center which is under the supervision of Bishop George and Pastor April Davis (Senior Pastors of Faith Christian Center.) Joshua has been around music for the last seven years of his life. His talent became evident and was developed by the Spirit of God at Triumph Ministries, in Miami, under the advisement of Pastor Warren. Joshua was the praise and worship leader there for seven years prior to his move to Jacksonville. Personal trials are what brought Joshua to music. In 2001, Joshua was dealing with the pain of being cut from his high school baseball team because of his faith. God gave Joshua music to help him express the way he felt. At the age of 15 Joshua taught himself how to play the piano in a matter of days. Out of his struggle his first album “Closer” was birthed. Now at the age of 23, Joshua has completed his new Praise and Worship album. The intense thought that goes into every measure, every beat and every note is what completely separates Joshua from any other. Wanting to make something more than a song, more than just a pretty melody but rather a master piece causes Joshua to engineer, produce and compose on another level. In his own words, Joshua says, “music has to be able to touch an individual’s heart. Music must allow that person that is listening to feel uplifted, and encouraged, so they can find the strength within themselves to make it to the next day.”Joshua wants the world to know, that music is for everyone, especially worship.
