10 Coleccion - Dueto Azteca songs
$8.89 YO CANTO is a track for track Spanish translation of Laura Pausini's Italian language album LO CANTO.
Laura Pausini, a multilingual Italian pop singer who won a Latin Grammy in 2005 for Best Female Pop Vocal Album, decided to record an album of cover songs when she returned to the studio to record her followup effort. This is a fairly standard practice for pop/rock artists, of course, especially in the wake of a mammoth success like the one Pausini experienced with Resta in Ascolto (released concurrently in Spanish as Escucha in the U.S.). ...

| | Zack Thomas CD (1999)
10 Coleccion - Dueto Azteca music CDs
$7.49 The artistry of Zack Thomas begins with the songs: lyrical narratives suspended on insistent hooks and memorable melodies. It's an accessible and economical sound, strung between tight, rocking rhythms and taut chords, fully charged with the undeniable power of commitment. Zack states simply, "I write songs that come out of who I am."Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he knew by age ten that music was his calling. With a converted record player as an amplifier, he and his fledgling band made their debut performing at backyard parties and dances. It was enough to start the fire. After high school Zack relocated to Dallas, Texas. Sharing management with T-Bone Burnett's Alpha Band, success across the Southwest--opening shows and packing clubs soon followed. "It got real big, real fast," Zack recalls. But success had a darker side. He remembers thinking "this is taking control of my life." Inevitably, the band broke up. Fortunately travel, relocation and real-life experience followed. A road map of Zack's adopted hometowns includes Houston, Washington D.C. and Atlanta. When he returned full cycle to Cincinnati, it was with a renewed devotion to the art of song writing."I was thinking about my life," says Zack, "and what is really important. It never stopped being music. I never stopped playing."It was only a short drive southward--so Zack moved to Nashville."It was great to be in a town where song writing is king," recalls Zack, "and I got serious." He co-wrote, performed at writer's nights at the Boardwalk and The Bluebird, got married...but the road was still calling."I was more pop-oriented," he explains, "and I started thinking California."On his self-titled debut CD/EP Zack's Nashville friends, including some of the most noted session players in town are very much in evidence. From demos of twenty-five songs, he selected four to record for a fully-mastered radio-ready release. These tracks, cut live in a studio near downtown Nashville, possesses the vibrant energy made only by live musicians in total touch with the music.A two-year adventure in southern California followed Nashville. Zack focused ...
| | Kurt Bestor Seasons CD (1990)
10 Coleccion - Dueto Azteca songs
$12.69 Some of the world's greatest classical composers created symphonies and suites devoted to the four seasons. Pete Namlook and Wendy Carlos each created electronic anthems based on the seasons. Kurt Bestor created a modern symphony called Seasons. It has four movements -- one for each season -- and each movement has three sub-movements. Bestor uses subtle electronics, but this CD is mostly acoustic. It is smooth and melodic with some jazz timbres and textures. It is a good disc that breaks no new ground. ~ Jim Brenholts
Kurt Bestor Emmy-award-winning composer has written music as diverse as underscores for movies, television shows, classical orchestras, video games, and pop arrangements. This diversity is found in his over 20 CD recordings. A common thread is a very emotional “visual” style. It’s as if every song is a “filmscore looking for a film.” Just close your eyes and let Bestor take you somewhere special.BioFor more than a three decades, Kurt Bestor's film scores, television themes, compositions and carols have provided an indelible soundtrack from Americanlife. Indeed, much of Bestor's own life has been dedicated to creating musicalparallels to visual images.Perhaps best known for his innovative interpretation of seasonal carols found in his popular 5-CD boxed set “The Complete Kurt Bestor Christmas,” the Utah based composer and performer launched his career writing music for television and movies. His credits include more than 40 film scores and more than 40 themes for national TVprograms and commercials. It is Bestor's music that has introduced NFL Monday Night Football, and National Geographic; he scored TBS's Wild! Life Adventures and the IMAX film "The Great American West." He also was given the Outstanding Film Score Award at the New York Film and Television Festival for his music for PBS's "A More Perfect Union." Bestor was awarded an Emmy® for his collaboration with Sam Cardonon the original music for ABC's coverage of the 1988 Winter Olympics.Born in Waukesha, Wisconsin, Bestor benefited from his families musicalinclinations. His grandfather played trumpet in many popular ...
