| | Machine Works CD Ian Tamblyn Discography of CDs
For many years I recorded the natural world and folded these field recordings into musical settings. While recording these natural sounds the modern age often intruded on these recordings . I decided at one point it was time to face the fire . Although i have eulogized nature in song and instrumental I am also a person fascinated by speed , power and inferno - all things provided by the industrial age. The CD is a look at the inferno in a romantic an cautionary way. In many ways these pieces are requiems for an age of terrible beauty. This CD was 15 years in the making as I gathered sounds from blast furnaces, mines, ice breakers , highways , lumber yards, trains etc. Machine Works Songs | 1. | Blast Furnace |

Machine Works songs
$8.99 Music composed by Gene De Paul. Lyrics written by Johnny Mercer.
Songwriter Johnny Mercer did not have much luck writing for Broadway, but the exception was Lil' Abner, based on the satiric Al Capp comic strip about the rural residents of Dogpatch. Mercer wrote the song lyrics to music by Gene DePaul, with whom he had worked on the movie musical Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. After the show opened on November 15, 1956, it became the only stage work with which Mercer was associated to turn a profit, running 693 performances. Actually, the score isn't as strong as that for one of Mercer's flops, St. Louis Woman, but it is appropriate to the subject matter. The songs "Jubilation T. Cornpone," "The Country's in the Very Best of Hands," and "Progress Is the Root of All Evil" wittily capture Capp's sense of humor and dim view of politics. There are ...

$8.09 TING-A-LING is an 18-track digitally-remastered release by vocal group The Clovers, featuring "Yes Sir That's My Baby," "One Mint Julep," and "Needless," and includes an eight-page booklet.
The Clovers were sort of a transition group straddling the smooth pop style of the Ink Spots and the Platters and later more rock & roll-oriented groups like the Coasters and the Drifters. Beginning with 1951's "Don't You Know I Love You," the group merged urban blues sensibilities with ...

Machine Works CD music
$13.29 Skateboarder, artist, and filmmaker Thomas Campbell's 16mm feature is "an exploration into the riding of water mountains and molehills" that follows surfers from the beaches of Hawaii and California to distant outposts like Sri Lanka and Morocco. Though driven by music, there's not a "Wipe Out" to be found; rather, Sprout's eclectic soundtrack relies on indie pop godheads like the Shins, Calexico, Tortoise, and Superwolf (Will Oldham and Matt Sweeny) to paint the sunsets. For ...

| | Pecadores 10percent For Jesus CD (2007) (Import) Brazilian Edition
Machine Works album
$18.55 South-America's most intense and dark messangers of raving industrial-Macumba, the Pecadores return with Brand New album "10% For Jesus" (Brazilian edition) with remixes of Siva Six, Morgue, Truppenterror and StrangerAngels and one new song with the brazilian act A Industrya. Brazil is a country of stark contrasts: The awe-inspiring tropic green lung of the planet on the one hand and the stinking Favelas and urban sprawls of the major cities. Wealth and bitter poverty exist side by side. Traditional mysticism and Christian bigotry. The carnival and drug related murder. Influenced by these indivisible contrasts the Pecadores create their raving industrial-Macumba. Macumba is as old as Voodoo itself and is performed mainly by the indigenous and poor part of the people as a magical, spiritual sacrifice and ritual for the dead. But „10% for Jesus" goes even further. Especially the poorest of the people are being forced into salvation by lurking Christian soul-catchers and neoevangelicalism. Thus it is no wonder how this sect is spreading like wildfire. Using the money of the poorest, they build giant palaces and live in unimaginable riches and luxury. Dark Messenger, Apostle Niwt, Sister Mege and Brother Vlad try to use their martial Macumba rituals featured on their ...
