On 2007's II, the sophomore outing by Maylene & the Sons of Disaster, frontman Dallas Taylor (formerly of Underoath) leads his band on a scathing set of Southern metal. Although the Birmingham, Alabama-based group still displays some Christian hardcore leanings, it proves to be much more adventurous than many acts in the subgenre, as evinced by the bluesy "Memories of the Grove" and the raucous "Dry the River."

In the early 1980’s Juanita won a music scholarship to Anderson University in Anderson IN. Upon her return to Canada the Medicine Hat college dance department hired Juanita as the ballet accompanist. Juanita accompanied Ballet classes and exams for over 20 years in Alberta. Juanita took up some jazz training in the mid 1990’s.
