I've played all of the other major titles (COD4, Halo3, Bioshock, Assassin's Creed).. and none of them compare to this one. The storyline of this game is amazing (better than Bioshock). Your jaw will hit the floor at every plot twist. The combat is great, with hundreds of different weapons/upgrades, and an excellent control scheme. The uncharted planet exploration part of the game can be dull at times(not always), but it's not required (but it does help to gain extra experience points to level up your character, which opens up more weapons and features). The graphics in the game are excellent, and you can even turn on a film grain option to make it look like a Sci-Fi movie. You can interact with other characters to make friends (and sometimes more). Definetly don't pass this game up, you'll be sorry you did.

Whether you're a science fiction fan or not, Mass Effect has an amazing story told in a unique way that is sure to move you in some way. Even a friend of mine who absolutely hates sci-fi loved this game, which says a lot for how well it tells its story.
The gameplay is a blast, too.

i enjoyed this game its sort of like gears of war and knights of the old republic combined its a little short for a bioware game but the gameplay is awsome i gave it 4 stars becouse there is little replay value once you beat the game

Explore uncharted worlds: In addition to the main story arc of the game, players will be able to visit a large number of uncharted, unexplored planets which are not directly tied to the main story. At any time during the campaign, a player can choose to explore one of these planets in an all-terrain rover in order to discover new alien life, resources, ruined civilizations and powerful technologies.
Digital actors: Mass Effect features a huge cast of in-engine digital actors that you will encounter as NPCs, enemies or as party members. Each will have life-like facial and body movements, and an advanced dialogue system will give them engaging personalities.
Character customization. Players will be able to choose from a variety of stunning, photo-realistic character appearances at the start of the game, and throughout the game can increase various statistics which will have an impact on their performance during gameplay. Equipment, weapons and armor that are acquired during the course of the story will change the appearance of the characters.
Xbox360 live features. Premium downloadable content and recognition of achievement will be available via the Xbox Live service.
