Haste the Day's first album with new singer Stephen Keech, 2007's PRESSURE THE HINGES finds the Indianapolis-based Christian metalcore ensemble sounding better for the change. Although there are still plenty of throat-scraping moments on the album, the band opts for more melody in both its vocals and instrumental arrangements, as revealed on the urgent anthem "White Collar."
This set includes the new CD by the Indiana-born metal band with 13 tracks and 3 special bonus tracks, plus a DVD including Jimmy Ryan's final show with the band recorded in its entirety, behind-the-scenes footage, and a look inside the recording process.

Its alright.. HTD's new Cd is quite awesome but i have to say Steven Keech is no Jimmy Ryan, its not Burning Bridges or When Everything falls for sure. The guitar on this cd could be changed up a little. It almost sounds repetetive at times. HTD should go more hardcore. Still a WICKED album tho, buy it Submitted by Melissa (Canada) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Umm.. can you put six stars?? This is totally Haste the Day's best album. They've always been so awesomely rock-your-brains-out incredible. I love Stitches, Chorus of Angels, and Pressure the Hinges best.. Okay, that's not an accurate statement. They're all good. Yeah. Buy this. Submitted by punkee (nowhere) Was This Review Helpful? Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!! The new vocalist in my opinion is awesome. His clean vocals give this album a very emotional touch. He sounds way different then the older guy. Even though the older guy wasn't bad his vocals were kinda like Zao, basically a softer version of Zao. But anyways there music did get a tad softer but its still amazing. And yes the breakdowns are mosh worthy. Submitted by primal1035 (new york) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

| | Juicy Lucy Lie Back & Enjoy It CD (1970) (Import) Germany
Pressure The Hinges music CDs
$13.15 If Juicy Lucy's debut album ranks among the most haunting, haunted blues-rock albums of the late 1960s, its follow-up only illustrates how damaging the last six months had been for the band. Fully half the band had been replaced, including vocalist Ray Owen and guitarist Neil Hubbard, and with them went much of the evil electrics and swamp-conscious blues that gave Juicy Lucy its most scintillating shivers. The players who replaced them -- former Zoot Money singer Paul Williams, ex-Jeff Beck drummer Rod Coombes, and guitarist Micky Moody -- were no slouches, of course, and the interplay between ...

| | Stranglers The Raven CD (1979) (Import) Bonus Tracks; Digipak; United Kingdom
Pressure The Hinges album
$9.89 This digitally remastered version of this album from British punk band the Stranglers includes four bonus tracks, and also has detailed liner notes and photos.
By the time The Raven was released, the Stranglers had branched out a bit from their punk-influenced pop music stylings and grouchy personal-relationship-based lyrics. Half the songs on this album (among them "Dead Loss Angeles," "Nuclear Device," "Shah Shah a Gogo," and "Genetix") spout verses critical of social or political issues. Only the first of these four numbers, with its clipped vocal delivery and stripped-down, bass-heavy arrangement, shows significant British punk influence. Certain songs here exhibit strong mainstream tendencies with no hardcore sensibilities whatsoever, such as "Duchess" (a tuneful power pop number with clear chart-oriented influences) and "Don't Bring Harry" (a slow-tempo, piano-dominated selection). Still other influences ...
| | Boy-Girl Band Drop Your Leotards! CD (2004)
Pressure The Hinges CD music
$5.75 In some cases, an artist's name lets you know exactly what type of music to expect. If a group's name contains terms like i-tal, Jah Rastafarai, or natty dread, it's safe to assume that reggae is involved -- and if a group has a name like La Charanga Sabrosa, expect something Afro-Cuban. Someone who calls himself MC Thug Dog is likely to be a gangsta rapper, and if a band has a twisted name like Satanic Cadaver, there's probably some death metal involved. But some names can be misleading, or at least very ironic. Boy-Girl Band is the sort of name one would expect from alternative pop/rock, Europop, or teen pop -- perhaps something with college rock or indie rock appeal, or perhaps a group that could be described as Britney Spears and Hilary Duff by way of *NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys. But Drop Your Leotards! isn't pop in any way, shape, or form; Boy-Girl Band's focus is avant-garde jazz -- specifically, avant-garde jazz of the AACM variety. This quartet calls itself Boy-Girl Band because there are two males (bassist ...
