An American journalist on assignment in Germany uncovers a neo-Nazi group linked to Nazi survivors of World War II. He goes undercover to expose the group and its leaders, who have been in hiding for nearly fifty years. Based on Yaron Svoray and Nick Taylor's "In Hitler's Shadow," a true story.

Premiered on HBO June 24, 1995. Co-produced by Francine LeFrak Productions and Carnival Films. Shot on location in Hamburg, Germany. At the end of the film, the following information is presented in superimposed titles: *No one was ever prosecuted based on the evidence presented by Yaron Svoray. *One year later, the German Interior Minister targeted right-wing violence as the country's greatest internal threat. *There are 82 right-wing extremist groups still operating in Germany, and in the last three years there have been over 6000 racial attacks. *In the United States, membership in race-hate groups is at an all-time high. There are currently 300 active white supremacist groups including 160 skinhead gangs operating in 40 states.
