| | Caspian Four Trees CD Caspian Discography of CDs
Originally released on CD on Dopamine, and later as an absolutely gorgeous double-disc gatefold Mylene Sheath vinyl issue, which truly re-establishes the pre-digital connection between the art of the music and the visual splendor of a great sleeve package. It sounds like the analog mastering is no cheapo job, either -- a single album spread over two discs to insure maximum fidelity -- perfect for a wondrously ethereal debut album by this greater-Boston (Beverly, MA) instrumental quintet. With shoegaze dissonance, feedback gales, glistening guitars, thrusting drums, and throbbing vistas, Caspian is some whitecap sea between Henry Frayne's equally commanding Lanterna, the Dears without vocals, "She Calls" Slowdive, and "View from a Hill" Chameleons. You feel like you're skiing pristine Alps or investigating Greenland glaciers on The Four Trees, its chilly beauty as imposing and unassailable as an IMAX Antarctica movie. ~ Jack Rabid

Purchase Four Trees CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Susan Boyle I Dreamed A Dream CD (2009)
Four Trees album
$9.58 Susan Boyle's grand unveiling on Britain's Got Talent was with a song from Les Miserables - the very song that lends this album its title -- and if she could become an international sensation based on a show tune standard, there's no reason for her to change her approach on her debut, since that's the sound that made her a star. Plus, a large part of Boyle's appeal is that she's a middle-aged woman recalling a bygone era when there were singers that appealed to an adult audience by offering soft, stately versions of pop hits and standards. That time was the late `60s and early `70s, and apart from a rather faithful version of Madonna's "You'll See," I Dreamed a Dream could very well have been released all those years ago, as it mixes up the show tunes, gospel, and Christmas carols with covers of Skeeter Davis' "The End of the World," the Rolling Stones' "Wild Horses," and a version of "Daydream Believer" that ...

| | Lady Gaga Fame Monster CD (2009)
Four Trees music CDs
$8.79 Initially planned solely as a standard double-disc reissue in the wake of the blockbuster success of The Fame, Lady Gaga decided to release the new material as a separate EP called The Fame Monster in addition to the standard two-CD set, where it's tacked onto a now standardized version of her debut. It's a nice move for fans, plus it helps emphasize the new material, which does act as a bridge from the debut to a forthcoming full-length. Everything on The Fame Monster bears a galvanized Eurotrash ...

Digitally remastered using 24-bit technology by Evren Goknar (Capitol Mastering).
This is an expanded version of the then-disintegrating group's 1981 greatest hits compilation. It should probably be listened to as an early clue to lead singer John Waite's new direction in his far more successful ...
| | Lurkers Fulham Fallout CDs (1978) (Import) United Kingdom
Four Trees album
$17.39 Though history rarely credits the Lurkers as much more than West London's answer to the Ramones, think carefully before you assume it's a put-down. Da bruddahs influenced many groups, after all, but how many of them responded by taking the New Yorkers' blueprint and making it wholly their own? True, a handful of tracks on Fulham Fallout do fall unmistakably into Xerox territory (most notably "Hey You," which seems to go on way longer than its 2:55 lifespan). But when the band is at its best (notably in their singles "Ain't Got a Clue," "I Don't Need to Tell Her," and "Shadow..."), the album is an astonishing accomplishment, a blur of high octane riffs and unforgettable hooks tumbling over one another without a care for manners or niceties. Equally gripping is "Go ...
| | Chris Bolton Believe CD (2007)
Four Trees CD music
$14.79 CHRIS BOLTONHeartfelt music must be soulful, sultry and smooth as silk. Chris Bolton’s style is the epitome of heartfelt music. This Chicago native is not a novice to the entertainment industry. He began singing in his father’s church when he was only 6 years old. Before he knew it, he was on the big stage. With his powerful voice, Chris has moved hundreds of thousands of fans from New York to Los Angeles to Rome, Italy as he graced the stage in over ten stage plays. However, no role has been more definitive for him than that of Walter Jordan, the adorable and bashful plumber in David E Talbert’s gospel musical, “Mr. Right Now”. After seeing the singer/actor in this production, the New York Amsterdam News wrote, “He sounds and looks like Luther Vandross”.Bolton has all the right ingredients to become a premier artist. He has stage presence, experience, stamina, an approachable personality and most importantly a silky smooth voice. This phenomenal vocalist, who wants all to know that he loves the Lord, has received “mad props” from industry notables; ...
