Jon Zaslow, aka The Fabulous Johnny Zee, is a singer/songwriter from Canada. His early musical career focused on his guitar playing, where he played on others’ albums, jingles and the like. It turns out he has the knack for tunesmithery, and has spent the last 10 years developing this skill. To date he has 2 CDs to his credit. They have been well received and his reputation is now established. Fab’s drive to write a great song came from the desire to re-create a mood and energy he felt from his early listening to the Beatles, Steely Dan and the like. One of the reviewers of “Johnny and The Zeetones” reports : “The sonics are spot on, the arrangements are complex without being complicated, the singing and guitar playing are both on the highest level (and sounding like no one else), and the songs ...... well, the songwriting is just superb. No two songs sound the same, but the whole collection sounds \"of a piece\". (Garwood Wallace)Please check out the samples and enjoy. $19.29 Sydney based band, Jonah’s Road, has developed a significant following in the Australian music scene over the past few years. The contemporary sound is a feature gaining them many new fans and the respect of their peers thanks to fantastic live shows, tight vocal harmonies and great songwriting. The highly anticipated new album, Counting Down The Days, was released in January 2007 and is expected to repeat the success of the band’s multi-award winning first album Hold On. Jay, John & Rodney spent most of 2006 writing and recording the album. It was recorded and co-produced by Matt Fell at Love Hz studios and mixed by Robbie Specogna at Main Street Studios. The result is a collection of upbeat songs and soaring ballads highlighting the harmony-driven, country-pop sound for which the band is becoming well known. The first radio single is the title track Counting Down The Days which is an upbeat song written by Jay & Jasper Somerville-Collie in collaboration with Travis List. Recent reviews about the new album include:“Counting Down the Days is a highly appealing, very well-produced album full of catchy, appealing and superbly-crafted songs. More importantly, it is an album that touches the heart, makes you laugh, and provides an insight into human nature.”“The vocals alone make this a memorable album, but add in the musicianship, the songs and that intangible magic that comes from a tight-knit band and Counting Down the Days is a real winner.” Sue Jarvis, CAPITAL NEWS“….this album has the depth and genre-crossing ability that will appeal to not only country music fans but also music lovers generally.”“Counting Down The Days is a seriously exciting album not just for Jonah’s Road, but also for a burgeoning Australian country music industry looking for its next big export.” Alan Logan, PURE COUNTRYJonah’s Road commenced 2007 with the news that the track Why Does She Love Me won Song Of The Year in the inaugural ICE Awards and won Best Group at the People’s Choice Awards. | | Livingston, Howard & Mile Marker 24 Blame It On The Margaritas CD (2007)
Johnny & The Zeetones songs
$13.29 HOWARD LIVINGSTON AND MILE MARKER 24“Howard Livingston not only lives the island life, he writes and sings about the beautiful simplicity of island living. In essence, his music is the soundtrack to a lifestyle.”-- Robert Reynolds (The Mavericks) “I used to wear a three piece suit and wing tip shoesI’d watch CNN and catch up on all the newsI don’t do that anymore, and my life is so completeI traded in those leather shows for these flip-flops on my feet.”-- “Local On The Eights” (from Blame It On The Margaritas by Howard Livingston and Mile Marker 24)Howard Livingston may not have a monopoly on the American Dream but one thing’s for sure – he does know how to live it. Comfortably ensconced on Summerland Key, Florida, a sun-soaked speck of land just 24 miles north of Key West, he’s a tropical troubadour in the truest sense. Having successfully jettisoned the stress and strains of everyday existence, he and his aptly-dubbed eight piece band, Mile Marker 24, intertwine carefree odes to the beach, booze and nature’s beauty with heartfelt hymns about the human spirit. Some of the songs have a familiar ring, occasionally recalling another Key West singer/songwriter with a preference for booze in a blender. Nevertheless, Livingston’s music retains a universal appeal, an easy-going lilt and sway that places as much emphasis on pedal steel as on steel drums, all of it underscored with electric and acoustic guitars, brass, marimba and subtle strings. It’s a cheerfully upbeat sound that evokes the gentle feel of a tropical breeze, the bliss of a shimmering sunset, and a free-spirited, laidback lifestyle that’s bohemian and bucolic. It’s rock ‘n’ roll, moving to the pulse of paradise.Livingston’s self-released third album, Blame It On The Margaritas, provides the latest example of this carefree ...

Johnny & The Zeetones album
$14.79 17 year-old LYDIA PATRITTO, from Hurley, WI, has taken the music world by storm with her very first release, GRAND DREAMS, released on September 1, 2007. With a country/pop and alternative edge, GRAND DREAMS shouts originality. This multi-faceted recording was done by independent recording company, In the Chips Production, during the summer of '07. From living room performances to the live stage at the legendary Bitter End of Greenwich Village in New York City, Lydia has always been driven by music. At the age of 6 she begged for piano lessons, which she began with Kristin Kolesar, and from then on she has just added to her repertoire. Piano/keys, which is evident on her solo debut album, is her favorite, but she also plays saxophone, accordion, and dabbles in mandolin and guitar. In the 6th grade Sandra Genisot stepped in to become her piano instructor and eventually, her voice coach. According to Lydia, Sandra has been her sounding board throughout the writing process of all of her songs. In the spring of '07, Lydia's mom, Natalie, sent the very first recorded ...
